Teppan Edo or Chefs de France with picky kids?

I have a dinner reservation for Teppan Edo but I'm wondering if I should change it. My kids, ages 6 and 21 months, are pretty picky eaters. They usually stick to chicken nuggets, pizza, and hot dogs while in WDW and are not thrilled about trying new things. I think they would enjoy the atmosphere of Teppan Edo and we've never been there, so I'm looking forward to something new. I have looked at the kids' meal options and it looks like grilled chicken would be the one thing I might be able to get them to try. I know they won't even eat rice. Thoughts?
We've never been to Chefs, either, so I thought about trying there instead, but I hear mixed reviews about them.
Are there any links to Teppan Edo kids' meal photos? I appreciate any input.

I don't have any photos, but I went to Teppan Edo with my little sister (I think she was 4 at the time) and she liked it. Have your kids ever had chicken teriyaki? They can get shrimp, chicken teriyaki, or just plain chicken breast. You can find the menu on the wdwinfo website. I hope that helps!

Teppan Edo would be my suggestion.

We did both in 2009. CdF was ok. It was very noisy and crowded and service was less than stellar. My son (2 then) was not feeling well that day (had actually went to Doc in a Box for ear infection earlier) and didn't eat very much. My daughter (8 then) didn't enjoy it as well as TE either.

Teppan Edo is good for all the normal reasons Japanese steakhouses are good. But the wait was very long and there weren't many places to sit while waiting (mostly because of the crowd). It was chilly that night, keeping us indoors while we waited... standing room only.

But once we were seated, things improved quickly. Food was good. Chef did a great job.

One note, though. I hadn't looked at the menu beforehand and was disappointed at the lack of fried rice. You get noodles instead. This may make no difference for you. But I LOVE fried rice. Everything else was delicious.

I really don't care for Chefs. Our first (and only) time there was when DH proposed to me - the nostalgia is great but the food was just awful. Kids would probably feel like it was a bit stuffy and boring as well.

We've been to Teppan Edo 2 or 3 times and have loved it. We normally have kids sitting at our table and they love to watch the chef! It's a lot of fun all around :)
