We're only going to be at Epcot one day. Is it too much to eat at both these restaurants? If we do Teppan Edo as an early lunch - then La Hacienda around Illuminations time. (Any tips on getting patio seating - can you request it?) I think someone told me you could see show great from that restaurant. Both of these places are places I'd like to eat at - just not sure we should try and squeeze them both in this trip. We have a 4 yr old and almost 2 yr old. Thoughts?

We enjoy both Teppan Edo and La Hacienda, but both would be too much for us in one day.
There is no patio seating at La Hacienda. The patio is for the CS La Cantina. Only a few tables have full window views and some have no view at all. You can ask for a window table when you check in, but everyone does. I think it is simply the luck of the draw whether you get a good view or not. The good views are fewer than the remaining tables.
Good Luck

That would be too much for me.
La Hacienda Illuminations viewing is amazing, but it is only if you are lucky to get a window table. I'm not sure I would go there for that reason, only with it being too much luck of the draw. We went when it first opened, the food and service was great.

I agree that would be a lot in one day. I know I could not eat that much . I would pick Teppan Edo, I love the atomosphere and the food. A very good time.

I'll be the first to offer a different opinion (because there always has to be one!)

I would definitely do both in one day. Teppen Edo is a great experience dining that your kids (even the little one) might really enjoy. It should hold their attention while they do the hibatchi style cooking. I have never left Teppan Edo feeling very full, I don't think the portions are large at all.

Only you know how your kids will hold up for a later dinner, around Illuminations time. I know when mine were younger they were usually DONE and in meltdown mode by 9pm, and I wouldn't risk a TS that late. But if they're used to eating that late, La Hacienda will be a great choice. I wouldn't book there, however, just on the fact that you might see Illuminations, because as others have said, the chances are slim to none that you'll see anything. Illuminations view seating is very very limited & you can't guarantee a request to sit there.
