Can you get fried rice? In all the videos, menus, etc, all it shows is stemmed rice and/or noodles.

Thanks ............. that is still hard to believe you cannot get fried rice at a Japanese restaurant. That is a first for me.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some people ask for it and get it brought to them. They won't cook it in front of you but will bring it out.

I thought we had fried rice there. I'll have to find our pics. I did remember it being poorly seasoned and small quantities.

I've been there twice and never had fried rice. It's still great though.

We were just there on March 3--it's sukiyaki beef rice. It's not done in front of you, but you can have as much as you want, just have to ask your server to bring you more.

Yep they have white rice or beef rice. I had the beef rice. It was ok. I preferred it to the plain white rice my daughter had

Fried rice is Chinese, not Japanese. This is a Japanese restaurant...so they're trying to remain authentic. Hence why they dont serve fried rice. I cant blame them to be honest.

FWIW, the food is very good!!!! Its one of my fave restaurants in epcot.

As the others have said, Fried Rice is a Chinese dish not Japanese. Teppan Edo is true to Japanese culture.

No, they don't have it

Maybe it was the beef rice you didn't like?

As others have said it can be ordered, just not prepared at the table. My hubby had it last year and found it to have a "fake" beef flavor and wasn't very good. I preferred the plain rice. If you are looking for fried rice, Yak n Yeti's is far superior.

We loved the beef rice. Ordered a second portion which they were happy to provide.

I guess the beef rice is what I am calling "fried rice". We do frequent what they call "Japanese Steakhouse"'s here and they all make fried rice. ??

a 'Japanese steakhouse' is about as accurate as calling Taco Hell authentic Mexican cuisine.
