Hi All!!
We are heading to WDW in September and I'm already trying to put together my ADR list. It will be me, hubby, my mom, my brother and my friend as well as my 3 kids ages 5,6 and 7. I was eyeing up Teppan Edo and the menu looks really good. I was wondering if this restaurant would be appropriate for my 3 little ones. Any suggestions or comments would be great!!!! :flower3:

I think your kids would enjoy it. We ate there last June and it was very entertaining, especially if you have a funny chef/cook. I think they sat 8 at a table and there were about 3 kids at ours. The food was great too!

By all means bring the children. Its an entertaining "show" and the children's meals come in a "monorail". We've been taking our grandson there since he was really small. He's now 6 and we were just there last week.

That is my 9 yr. old dd's favorite restaurant in all of WDW, and has been for the last few years. We love it (thank goodness, since she insists on it every trip!) and have always had both great food and great service there.

We went last year with a 3 and 5 yr old and they loved it. It's very entertaining for everyone - you won't be disappointed!

Hi,
We were just there in October with our twins, age 6 and our 4y.o. they both loved it. Im sure they'd love to go back. I think it's a great choice for kids. hth!

Does anyone know if high chairs are a problem, since you sit with other families?

I wouldn't think so. We made ADRs there, and they specifically asked if DS 18 months needed one. We have always used highchairs @ other Teppan Style Restaurants that seat families together.

My kids LOVED it! On their first visit to Teppan Edo they were 2, 6, & 9. We just went again in December. And now they are asking me to go again in August when we return. There's something they love about the place! :goodvibes The kids food is served in a "bullet train" dish but our family calls it the monorail. :lmao: They will probably love it! The adult food was very very good! :thumbsup2

Thanks...you answered our question about high chairs at Teppan Edo ! DU and I just were discussing that very question this morning. We also have a four year old and it's great to know that she would enjoy the dining and how as well:)

Do they have any normal american fare? They might eat some rice/noodles, but I am not sure about the veggies/meat?

I was just there in November with a group of 8. My son is 5 and a picky picky eater. He refused to eat anything but he was totally mesmorized by the cooking right in front of him. He happily sat and drank his milk(which they were nice enough to not charge me for.) I definitely plan on going back as the food was fabulous and since my son was entertained I was able to just enjoy my meal.

Is Teppan Edo different from Tokyo Dining??
It looks like Tokoya Dining has Sushi and Teppan doesn't?
Do both have the cooking in front of you- I know 6 yr old grandson would love that, but daughter in law LOVES sushi.
Me, I'm just confused!:confused3

We've eaten at Teppan Edo and it was really good and a lot of fun, our DS8 loved it. Our chef played with him throughout the meal - it was funny.

We have not eaten at Tokyo - but I do know that you can get sushi at both -we got it at Teppan Edo.

Here is a list of restaurants and menus- http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

Tokyo has a larger sushi menu apparently.

DS8 LOVED Teppan Edo...it was his favorite restaurant of the trip (not counting Chef Mickey's, where he first met his main duck Donald). Took a little coaxing to get him to eat teiyaki chicken, but once he tried it, the chicken was gone like THAT! Helped that the chef told DS that in order to be a chef (which is what DS wants to be when he grows up), he had to try all sorts of different foods. I am forever grateful to that chef, since I can now pull that card out of my hat if DS decides that he hates whatever I make...

Hoping to go back in June on our suprise trip to Star Wars weekends...
