Hi, i have a very shy son (6yrs) and a very vocal and active boy (age 3)...wondering if a fam of 4 has to eat with others??? Also, I am so particular with raw food...how does he handle the chicken and other raw meats??? Is this appropriate for young kids?

Its hibachi, so yeah, you sit with others. The kids will love it though - the chefs usually put on a nice show. They do tricks with their knives, they do tricks with the food.... and if your worried about "raw foods" at least here you get to see them cooking it. Inside a kitchen, you never know whats going on there! As far as your kids - put them between you. That way the shy one wont be upset, and the loud one will be "contained" between you guys. Good luck, and have a great time!!!

Yes, you'll have to sit with others. All Teppan Edo tables are communal and have 8 seats. If you are concerned, seat yourselves so there is a parent between the children and the other party - put the kids between you or sit child-parent-child-parent with one child at the end of the table.

As pp have said you will be seated with others. Typically it is really a fun place and the chefs will put on a bit of a "show" while cooking. However we had some that we just "okay" and then others that were great. It seems to just be the luck of the draw. Overall I would recommend it for kids of any age.

Have A Wonderful Trip! :)

From our experience they tend to try to match up the people at the table. If you are a group with just adults over 21 they try to sit you at a table with other groups of adults only. They seat familes with younger kids with other families.

My DD was 4 and loved it - there are some videos on you tube of the 'show' that I showed DD before we went.

The food is brought out prepped for the chef to cook - everything very clean and tidy and organised.
