Tentatively reserving date

Hi! How do I go about tentatively reserving my Escape date? I know that I can do that 12 months out and then finalize everything 8 months out. Can I just call? We will be in Orlando when at the 12 month out mark; in fact, that's the date that we plan on visiting the different locations.

Just call and someone will originally take your info (if you haven't done that yet). Your sales consultant will be in touch shortly after that. At the year mark just get back in touch and you'll be pencilled in until that 8 month point

I'm confused, because that's not what I was told when I called trying to book a date (even tentatively) for our vow renewal.

The date we want is April 13, 2011 and I called DFTW just a few weeks ago and was told that nothing could be done until 8 months out. I gave the date (obviously we only want the one date) and our choices (1st through 4th) for the times and was told about a "lottery" that will be held and I should know the date & time sometime in August. I was also told that is when I'd find out who our planner would be too.

We've decided on the premium Escape package.

You will only be put into the lottery if more than one couple wants the same date and time and location. But no Escape couple can confirm until the 8 month mark, so you're not really missing out on anything.
