Okay, 7 days and counting until we can make ADRs. Today the December park hours were posted on Disney's website, so I am finalizing our plans. We aren't getting hoppers so I'm planning ADRs around which park we'll be in on which day.

Here's the plan:

Day 1
Arrive and check out resort- CBR
Go to Beach Club- Dinner @ Beaches & Cream
Take boat to DTD and shop :)

Day 2
Disney Hollywood Studios
Dinner package @ Hollywood & Vine w/ Fantasmic package

Day 3
MK
Breakfast @ Crystal Palace
MVMCP

Day 4
Epcot
Lunch @ Coral Reef

Day 5
AK
Breakfast @ Tusker House
Travel to Beach Club for
Dinner @ Cape May

Day 6
MK
Dinner @ The Plaza

Day 7
Free day
Breakfast @ Kona Cafe

Any comments/ suggestions? I am going with my Mother and my 2 kids, ages 9 and 7. One picky eater and one more adventurous.
Thanks!

I say they look great. How about Liberty Tavern for dinner instead of Plaza. It is a character meal with the Thanksgiving type foods--really good. maybe the kids would like another character meal???

Sounds good to me........we liked Coral Reef and also did the Fantasmic Package.

Good Choices!! I really like Beaches & Cream. But, I saw one problem in your post. The boats from the Beach Club do not go to DTD. They go to Epcot & DHS.
But, you can catch a bus to go to DTD.

It looks great to me. The Plaza is more sandwiches and ice cream and LTT is turkey, stuffing, potatoes, ect. We like them both, but if we wanted Plaza food we wouldn't be happy with LTT KWIM?

Also, it looks as if you are planning on taking a boat from the Beach Club to DTD and there isn't a boat that goes from the Beach Club to DTD. The DTD boat is from POR, POFQ, OKW, and SSR. Didn't want you to be confused when you got there

I would put in a plug for the CS at CBR. Since its your arrival day taking the time to enjoy the resort isn't a bad option. We really liked the food court there and thought there was a lot of variety. Since you're planning B&C you won't have an ADR (they don't take them) you'll have the flexibility to do just that. Don't down play the kids contentment with the brand new pool there upon arrival. There is a lot to do at WDW, but sometimes the simple things are enough for the kids. Your ability to lounge and dip in the hot tub there shouldn't be under estimated either. :thumbsup2

I agree with above poster-- I would not use a TS credit for the Plaza. We ate there on our last trip and the food was good--but I would chose LTT, Ohana, 1900 Park Fare, or Chef Mickeys all over the Plaza. (all of these are close to MK).

Check out the menu of the Plaza on allearsnet.com-- you get WAY more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Also--if you do end up at DTD and are looking for a counter service-- we LOVE Wolfgang Puck's!

Have a great trip-- I think you did a great job with your ADRs!

Thanks so much for the input- it helps a lot since I haven't been to Disney since 1986! Everything I've learned has been on these boards and I feel like we will be so prepared because of all of you.

Thanks for the heads up about the boat ride. I guess my biggest question is still how to get from point A to point B and how long to allow for transportation. I'm not sure why I thought we could catch a boat to DTD :confused3 - sounded like fun :rotfl: .

I like the suggestion to spend some time at CBR on day 1- one of the main reasons I chose it was because of the new pool. I don't want to be always running when we are staying at a beautiful resort and could enjoy down time there.

Thanks again for all of the suggestions, and keep em coming! :thumbsup2

Forgot to add, the Plaza is one that I wasn't so sure about- I was surprised that the MK TS options are somewhat limited. I will check the menus out and rethink that day. Maybe we'll do CS at MK and save the TS credit for another meal....

Minnie m6--

I found that when planning for our last trip-- all I had to do was post here and ask what was the best way to get from point a to b and how long will it take.. and I got some really great detailed answers!

good luck to you-- jen

Minnie m6-- you probably already know this-- but you can easily take the monorail to some of the character meals from Mk. Chef Mickey's in in Contemporary, 1900 is in Grand Floridian and then Ohana's is in the Poly (not character, but good!)

Once you are at MK it is really easy to jump over to eat and come back.

have a great trip!

Not sure what time you're arriving, but a fun free evening event for after dinner would be to head over to Fort Wilderness Campground for the Chip 'n Dale campfire sing along and maybe stay for the Disney movie under the stars. Another, low stress no reservations required option; can do it on a whim. :thumbsup2

I just wanted to add about the Prime Rib at Hollywood and Vine. Not sure what your tastes are, but that really stick out in my mind from there. Also, you'll be thankful for that Fantasmic voucher! ;)

My favorite thing about The Plaza is not the food, it's the view. If you're sitting in just the right spot, you get a lovely view of Cinderella's Castle! Have fun and I know you'll love MVMCP! :thumbsup2
