I was wondering if anyone knows a person or company that does tent rentals at Disney World? Would there be someone who would rent us everything we would need--tent, sleeping bags, the whole works, and set up the site for us too? I would love to camp at the Fort, but I can't convince anyone, else except for my dad, that it would be fun. And he has never camped, so he wouldn't be the hugest help setting up. I know you can do rv rentals, but I was wondering if someone does tent rentals as well. TIA!

FW does tent rentals and sets them up, there was a picture some time back on this site. I dont think its very cheap, I know they have cots but not sure if they are included in the price..

I have read of the outside companies there that will set you up with a camping trailer with all the right equipment, but I not sure that there's one that would have everything for tent camping like sleeping bags, cots and everything else you might want to camp like cooking equipment.

I think FW rents the tent for something like $40 a night. After just 3 days of rental it would be cheaper to buy a tent and just give throw it away at the end of your trip.

I picked up this little flier on my last visit to the Fort. At the bottom, you will see the prices for tent and cot rentals, as well as the phone number to call for these.

These tents and cots are set up for you by Fort employees. I agree that they are pricey, but it is an option if you want to camp and don't want to provide your own tent:

I thought FW would only set up tents when you booked the group camping site. If so they require a min of 20 people. If someone has any information, please post!

I have seen the Disney Tents in the,,,,,,,,,,I forget which loop but around the 800. When I found the picture above, I was looking for the one in a regular Site.

When we were there in 2001 in the 1500 loop, there were a bunch set up on the two sites next to us. It was a girls birthday party. They were rather loud all hours of the night and morning and annoyed the heck out of us when we tried to sleep in on our down day. However, i am sure they had a blast.

I rented a tent in Oct 07 for myself and one other person. It was set up in site 513 for 3 nights. They set it up for you and take it down after you leave. I don't know about cots or anything else because we brought our own.
