We have been to Disney MANY times, but I have not camped at Fort Wilderness since I was a kid. My son just joined Boy Scouts so it seems like a PERFECT time to camp. We will be camping in tents.
We know about the places to have dinner, the Sleepy Hollow ride, and the marshmallow roast, but what else happens at the fort?
We have two tentative reservations. One for the middle of October and the other for the week after Christmas. We wanted to be there for New Year's but that night is sold out.
Also, any ideas of things to take to make our trip fun and comfortable?

it it's so nice to just arrive at your site and not have to hike forever like at the resort hotels from the parking lots/bus stops back to your room!!!! New Year's Eve is insane! If you aren't planning on being in the parks pretty much all the day and night you may find it impossible to get in! They close when it gets to capacity and takes along time to get in and out of MK that day!!!! Food and Winde Festival as well as Halloween is in Oct. and its wonderful!!!
