Tent Camping on Preferred Site?

Hi!

Does anyone camp in a tent but get the preferred site instead of the partial hook-up site to be close to the marina, etc.? Would a tent as big as 20 by 20 feet fit on any of the preferred sites, and if so, which loops would be good? Thanks!

I have tent camped in a preferred loop before, I think it was the 300 loop, we actually had 2 tents, I can't remember the sizes, but one was a rather large cabin tent and the other was a 9x9 dome tent.

Make sure it is noted on your ressie that you are tent camping and what the size of your tent is so they can give you a site with a big enough area to set up.

We actually stayed in the preferred loop for the cable TV, the close proximity to the marina was just a bonus.

20 x 20 is gigantic. It's bigger than my living room. I would double check that size and have it noted on my reservation.

We were in the 1400 loop and the size of the sand pad varied from site to site. Ours was big, possibly 20 x 20, but it had a grill in one corner.

People a few sites down from us had 3 or 4 tents set up on their site, as well as a few screen rooms on the driveway.

The 1400 loop is not close to the marina, but it is near the pool and campfire program.
