Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me out please, my question is, what's the best of one of the best loops or sites for tent camping in the summer, a good site with some or lots of shade?

Thank you.

Also can you get, water, electrical and cable hook-up on a tent site?
Thanks

my family goes 4 times a year.. WE LOVE Spanish Moss Lane (loop 2000). Right around the comfort Stations are the best sites. 2035-2040 are right next to a comfort station and quiet shady in that area. We set up everything right down to the night lights across the site...

You can get a preferred site which has water, sewer electricty and cable. You can set up a tent on any loop.

THANK YOU! So much.

I'll make a note of that.

But, if you get a Preferred campsite with cable, you might find your tent squished in between two HUGE motorhomes! I've seen this before. It doesn't look really pleasant.

OH I see.

Im just hoping that I wont end up getting stuck between two campers like that. hehe. I have to get a preferred site due to having a dog. But Im in a small tent.

Heres another vote for loop 2000 :thumbsup2

We have tent camped and pop up camped in many loops but I like the "culture" of loop 2000. I prefer it to 1500 even though that is closer to the action.

I know it may sound weird but over time loops develop their own culture and 2000 is a very social place. I think it has to do with the fact that there are all types of people camping in all types of tents/pop ups/vans and just about anything else that can be camped in.

It has electric and water and is for tent/pop up only (though quite a few other interesting things wind up there)

We camped in 2 tents in June. This was the first visit to WDW for my family. We were in the 2000 loop almost across from the comfort station. It was great. We were close to the bus stop and we could walk the smaller swimming pool.

To be honest, I have never thought of camping at disney. But now that I found this site it looks like such fun. We don't have a camper yet, maybe in a couple years.

My husband and I were thinking of tent camping in Disney next June with our 2 girls. Was the tent unbearably hot at night? We just got back from our first tent camping experience today. We stayed near Lake Erie during the horrible thunderstorms and heat and seemed fine at night with our fan.

My then teen son & I tent camped for two weeks in August 2000 and had a great time. Since we drove down we made sure we brought everything for our comfort. My 3 room cabin tent has a great set up. The doors are on the ends, one large door on one end and two doors on the other end. We set up our large screen room (14 X 17 I think) across the end of the tent. The configuration ended up in a t shape. We were able to stick a small window A/C unit in the end with the two doors which kept our tent very cold. It was also protected in case of afternoon showers.

We stayed in a preferred loop with cable. We had a tv, video games, dorm fridge, microwave, cots, & air mattresses. We set up our kitchen in the screen room (protected with a tarp in case of rain) which left us plenty of room for everything in our "living room".

We like to take our dog camping at the beach but he can't take the heat. We worked on our set up so it would be just about as comfortable as a hotel room. Shame our dog couldn't come camping with us at Disney. Do they still prohibit dogs in tents?

Hope you have a fun camping trip. I keep thinking I'd like to do it again but now it's usually me going solo and I'd rather fly down instead of drive.

Thank you so much, we cannot wait. :woohoo:

Im fairly certain that dogs are allowed in tent sites as long as its in a pet loop. BUT you can not leave your dog unattended at the site unless in a hardsided camper. So if you're heading to the parks, you'd have to check the pooch into the kennel, which isnt too expensive.
