Tent camping in Tent Site vs a Premium or Preferred Site

I'm trying to book a site for a weekend sometime in April or May, and the only ones that are coming up are Premiums or Preferred. I don't mind paying a little extra, but I'm tent camping and would prefer not to be surrounded by RV's. Are any of the Premiums or Preferred tent loops?

I have never seen a tent camp set up at any of the loops except along with an RV. MS will know the answer you ask. RV sites would be hard to steak down a tent also.

The premium are all concrete pad. The preferred still have some shell/sand pad. I'd go with that. 100 is a bit close to the traffic area and 300 is a pet loop, so, I'd say 200 is for you. You can also keep trying for a partial site after booking the preferred. If you get a partial, there are 2 loops 1500 and 2000. 1500 is closer to the middle of FW and 2000 is to the back.

Thanks to you both. I've only been to FW once, and really liked it, so I want to go more often. I'm a tent girl (for now at least!), and while I've got nothing against RV's, I don't want to be the little tent between the big RV's, you know? OOoOO

I have seen many tents in Preminum, we had one next to us in 800 and also 4 tents on a site in 800 loop. I have seen them in just about every loop. I think it depends if you want to pay more and what location. I would not being between a RV bother you, I have never seen it bother anyone. Our new favorite is 900 as its close to the Pool/Meadows area..

Ha! Caught one! Got a res for a tent site for the first weekend in June. A little later than I wanted, but it still works. Lesson learned - look and book earlier.
