Could anyone please tell me your experience of camping in a tent at Fort Wilderness in mid-October? Bugs, weather, etc? We have never camped down there before and were thinking it might be fun to do next October. What activities are there for older kids (dds 10 and 14?) Any tips I might need to know would be so helpful also. We really want to get to WDW again but need it to be a budget trip. Oh, we have all the camping basics... TIA!!

Me again! The AAA website is down. Does anyone know how much a tent site thru AAA would be? Thanks again!! :)

Regular price is $43.00 so if you can get AAA it would be 20 o/o off that.

We usually go in Oct. the weather is great, I would bring a fan still tho. Bugs are not bad, but always bring repellent just in case.

They have horseback rides, small boat rentals, campfire & movie, haywagon rides, archery, you can fish. You can watch the Fireworks and Elec. water pageant from the beach.

It will be a bit busier on Columbus weekend.
