Are we insane? Will it be miserable? We have been to WDW this time in the past and we know it is hot but, is it tolerable in a tent? We are thinking that we could be portable fans?

Honest opinions please...we have two boys 6 and 9. Should we stay at a value?

If you use a good speed fan I think you will be fine. Keep it near an outside air source.

Yep, keep the fan running, and keep those windows/screens open. Also, the comfort stations have GREAT air conditioning!!

Man oh Man!! The idea of being outside in Florida at all in June is just plain :scared: !

You have more stamina than me. You'd find me sleeping in the comfort stations!:rotfl2:

Early June is the R-A-G-G-E-D E-D-G-E of comfortable tent camping weather. You may have to wait till after dark for it to be comfortable. Also the daily rains start coming in June so you might want to adopt a rain defense of the "massivebluetarp" strung over your tent or some similar contraption. :scared:

PS-Our May trip last year stretched into early June so I know what I'm talkin' about....

we went last year at that time in our non-a/c popup camper. Sleeping was ok with a fan on us. You'll be fine. (except FL bugs are scary)

The heat doesn't really kick in until later in the summer. Rain could be a problem, though. Any chance you might be able to borrow a popup?

If you could swing a value resort do that, but if you really want to camp go for it, but June even at night your going to feel sticky and hot. Then again that just me , I don't know what you can take. When we were younger we could take the heat alot better, not so much anymore.

Junes is just way too hot. I don't think you will adapt to it at all other than sitting in front of a fan all night. As locals get older it just doens't get any better. Hot is hot especially after being in the parks with the crowds.
