I'll be headed to Fort Wilderness June 20 - 24 for some tent camping. I haven't camped in ages, so I'm not sure what I'm in for. But - can't be too rough at WDW!

Have a great trip. The Fort certainly is our way of "roughing it". :thumbsup2 Prepare for warm weather and you'll be fine.

Hi,

We just retured from 5 nights of camping. Follow our thread, we will offer tips to stay cool and have an awesome time.

Hope you have a great trip too!

Thanks! I set up my tent yesterday, sprayed it with the hose to see if there are any weak spots, and slept in it overnight. I didn't even use a fan, and this morning I was a little chilly.

All of a sudden, the sprinklers came on! I'm not sure why because they should be programmed for Monday which is my watering day. Not wanting to get a ticket for watering on the wrong day, I dashed out of the tent, got soaked but made my way to the control box to turn it off!

This morning I woke up and heard the birds chirping. Only a couple of weeks before the real thing!

Have fun! I haven't tent camped at Disney since 2003, and I'd love to do it again sometime. The comfort stations are GLORIOUS compared to the state parks that I'm used to. :)
