Has anyone flown with a racket....just a single tennis racket. It would go under the seat, but it exceeds the person item length. It exceeds the length of the paid carry on bag. Do they let it on? Take t away? Anyone taken on Allegiant?

There is nothing on the website about rackets, actually. Even other sport equipment is mentioned. But so is the 22 in length on a carry on.

I would definitely call and ask. I expect because it is so much thinner than a typical carry-on, that the 22 inch rule could be waved (due to the total dimensions still being small) - but you may need a special tag or something. - I've never taken one on a plane though, so please don't rely on my guess!

See your airline's website. Much more likely than not, they have specific information about sporting equipment on their baggage page.

As an ultra low-cost carrier, I suspect that they are really strict. Carry on must fit in the overhead bin. Other airlines might let it slide. They may allow it with an oversize charge. That's kind of the way they make money.

They allowed it. There was actually nothing in the office documentation regarding rackets so se said let it on and to print out her email as proof if there was an issue. There was not

Knowing Allegiant's policy of nickel-and-diming you to death, it just might be cheaper to buy another racket when you get there -- LOL.
