In 1982, I attended the Tencennial celebration at Disney world. I was a small child and my Uncle worked for Disney. I was given a pair of silver ears with a tencennial patch on the front of the cap. I was told that there were only a few of these made. Is this true? Are they worth some money? I would think about putting them somewhere safe or maybe even selling them if they are woth something. Anybody familiar with them?

I'm not familiar with the item you have. However, in 1980, Disneyland produced a set of ears for the "Disneyland Family Reunion" promo. They were black felt with "chrome" plastic ears and a very small "chrome" brim. The patch used was a printed cloth "heat transfer" type of the MMC logo.

Possibly these ears were leftovers from the DL promo that were retro-fitted with the WDW 10th patch. Important- are they child sized or adult sized?

If the Tencennial patch is the embroidered type, the patch itself may be worth something to a Disney patch collector. If it is the "heat transfer" printed type, the piece would not command much value to the few collectors of WDW collectibles. Maybe $20.00?

Unfortunately, the only "EARS" I have ever seen worth any money are those worn by the original Mouseketeers, and then the EARS have to have a COA.
