This restaurant is kinda mysterious! I am having a hard trime finding a review - have any of you been recently and could give me some impressions? Are there several good non-sushi choices on the menu (wife won't even try it!) Do they offer PS? Given all the other delicious eateries in and around Epcot, I'm trying to decide if this exotic restaurant should make the cut for our first trip this August!

Thanks!

DH and I LOVE Tempura Kiku. I usually get sushi and he always gets tempura and then we share. They do not take PSs since it is a small restaurant, but I believe they sit overflow in the lounge. In the restaurant itself you sit around the food prep area so you can see all the dishes being made.

We just happened upon Tempura Kiku, and loved it. I would say it's one of the most exotic places at Epcot. The setting is small and intimate. There are definately other things than sushi to order. They specialize in tempura (as their name suggests) which is a Japanese food - vegetables and meat in a light, airy batter and deep fried. An interesting thing they have is chicken tempura which I've never seen anywhere else. You dip the tempura in tempura sauce or soy. I can't remember off the top of my head, but there was a good soup and some other great Japanese dishes. Definately recommended! Unfortunately, they do not take a PS.

The lounge is also a nice place to sit. We always get Tempura and would rather sit in the lounge where it is more open and even has a view:)

Thanks for the replies!!! We will definitely try to make it over there on 'Epcot day' - it sounds really good!

So how is the sushi there? I love good sushi but haven't always found that all restaurants serving it serve "good" sushi. A few places where I saw it on the menu, I was very reluctant to try just because of the concerns about how fresh the fish would be. I'm assuming WDW wouldn't risk problems in that area but wonder if it would be worth a try. I don't get sushi often anymore since stopped working for a company in a location with several sushi places in the area - and you knew they were good because the local Japanese population frequented them.
