Tempur-Pedic Mattresses

We are looking to buy a new mattress & DH would like a Tempurpedic.

Do you have one? Is the "foam" hot to sleep on?
How did you decide this was the mattress for you?
Which "model" do you have?

We got the NovaForm Elite from Costco. We LOVE IT!! It is the most comy mattress we have ever had. We have recommended it to a good friend, adn they love theirs too.

DS is looking to buy a mattress and wants one also.

I got my girls 2 memory foam matresses off overstock.com. They LOVE them. I am getting my son one next. They are a fraction of the cost and if you read reviews on them you can make a pretty good choice. Shipping even on something that big is only 2.95. Can't beat that.

Ive answered this mattress question allot on these boards.
We have the Tempur-Pedic Allura king set.
It is not hot or cold.
Most comfortable mattress we ever tried/had.
A friend of ours let us try there Tempur-Pedic for a night and we were sold. But it did take us 2 nights when we bought ours to get used to it.
You really can put a glass of water on the mattress and it won't tip over when you climb into bed.
I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital and have a bad knee. When I come home from work my feet, legs and knee hurt. This mattress makes it so comfortable I forget how much agony I was in just before bed time. Just incredible.
For us it was worth the $5,000. I need to relax and sleep after a hard day. Its worth EVERY penny to me.

Wondering if you use sealed covers for the tempur-pedic to keep it as dust-free as possible? And also how long does a tempur-pedic last?

The foam is not attractive to dust mites, so they won't live there like they would in a traditional mattress.

Maria- Dan and Erica bought one three years ago and have never looked back. They did buy a generic brand but purchased one that was the equivilent of the Temperpedic one that promises to regulate your body temperature so that you do not get too hot. Dna told me he is sleepin the best he has ever in his adult life.

We have one of the base models. Best money we ever spent! I have chronic bursitis in my hips and can lay on my side with absolutely no pain. Never had an issue with being too hot, either.

I couldn't spend $5K on a mattress...so we got the 3" memory foam pad to go on top of our mattress. DH sweats bullets normally but has not at all since we got our mattress last week. I also had back surgery two weeks ago and the mattress has been super comfy for that.

We bought the Innova brand pad from Costco. $147 for the Queen size.
