BTW.... would YOU be mad if Disney stole from you? I would!

Disney DOES steal from us. Charging $10 for something you can get almost everywhere else for $4 is stealing. However, we have a choice as to whether we buy it or not I guess. :rotfl: (I'm just kidding here, really........not arguing.........just making light). Disney's prices, to *ME*, are like stealing. But since I go, I allow it, so all's fair in love and war, right? ;)

Is it for POR? :stir:

so I don't have to worry about making the decision to fib about their age(s). But, I can't say that I wouldn't at least be tempted. In fact, I can't say I wouldn't actually do it. Who knows. I say if you can do it and not feel guilty about it, do it. If not, don't do it.

Guilt is a personal thing.

don't forget you can put soft serve ice cream, chicken wings, burritos, anything that will fit into those mugs and then just ask where is says you can't use them for soft serve etc...fun to see the cms faces when you tell them that one. one refillable mug and we have a lifetime of free disney food and drink for our whole family ( well between that and the ziploc baggies we take to the buffet we go to our first day there

I was reared in a fine Methodist household, but you can plainly see from the picture below that I'm in recovery now. At any rate, my upbringing gave me a firm grounding in New and Old Testament theology and I don't recall any mention that purchasing the wrong ticket from WDW is a sin, in fact, coroprate amusements parks are hardly mentioned in the Bible at all. Even for devout folks, I think there's a difference between what your Friend in the Sky tells you to do on the one hand, and a company policy on the other. There are the Ten Commandments, Disney rules I view as the Ten Suggestions.

My kids are 1 month shy of 4, but to me still look small. we are going to the wisconsin dells this weekend and there is a promotion $75/person per night for room, waterpark and all you can eat/drink- kids UNDER 3 are free. well, for this weekend they are 2 3/4 yrs old- I am NOT paying $75 per night for a 3 yr old who eats nothing and takes up no space at all!!!

Before this thread gets locked, I just want to ask one thing. People seem so shocked when others say that they don't lie. Why? Is it a crime for people not to lie? I don't have kids yet, but I know when I do that I won't lie about their ages (even to save money). That is just how I was raised. My parents never did for any of us (and there are 8 kids in my family).

because it's an accepted practice today. many people lie about lots of things so some have a hard time realizing everyone doesn't

( shhhh don't tell anyone but i agree with you totally, i'd just rather the amoral police don't know....that amoral is a joke since some alway talk about moral police so it must go both ways. i do find it funny thought that some people get so worked up about what anyone else is doing " at the happiest place on earth" , like they are going to change 20+ yrs of practice with one statement:rolleyes: )

If you're a small 3 - get in free. If you're 10 get in for 9 one last time. No big deal! Most people do it.

This thought probably does not pertain to most on now, unless you are in Ca. But if you posted about "Morals" and "Lying" etc while you were at work??? Guess What??? You have just "stolen" company time.

I just want to be the voice of reason here. Look very very very closely at yourself before you judge others, then look one more time. We are all human and probably doing somthin' wrong. I think that is why God calls us his "children" lol.

It may not seem wrong to you, what you are doing (something simple like hanging out on here at work for example), but that does not make it any less wrong than someone lying about their kids age.

Now, can we all please just get along? Everyone seems so nice. I say everyone just agrees to disagree and go off in to the sunset and plan those vacations.

Not me. Never did it. To me, lying IS a big deal.

I swear, if something costs a nickel, some people would "fudge" to get it for 4 cents - and go into great detail about how they got away with it. I think they just enjoy the game.

Amen brother!

I just feel this needs to be said.

A lie is a lie. If someone asks you a direct question and you knowingly give an incorrect answer, that's called a lie. Do I lie? YES. I am paralegal. Lawyers pay me to lie on a daily basis. My point? If you're going to lie - own up to it. Don't waste a lot of time and energy trying to justify it. It is what it is.

everyone lies, everyone steals. We just choose different times / places to do it.

Everyone has driven too fast in a car, or rolled thru a stop sign. Everyone who lives or works in a major city has jaywalked.

There are many different things that some consider right or wrong. Regardless of your opinion, everyone is entitled to an opinion and nobody has the right to judge anybody else unless they themselves are perfect.

That being said, I look forward to reading / talking about fun things from this point on.

I used to do this when I'd just turned 16 on the trains back home. Somehow, over the space of a DAY my fare to any destination doubled, because suddenly I was an "adult". I made two trips the month after my birthday and because I look young for my age, I still paid half fare as a "child". I've got to pay full fare now until the day that I die, so I just made the most of those couple of trips at child prices ;) Hey, at least I'm still using the trains, instead of driving around in a car :confused3 I know it's wrong but it bugs me that after one day passes suddenly you're charged double the amount you would have paid yesterday.

Great example..also Its like if you commit murder...1 day could make the difference if your tried as an adult or child......either way i hope the defendant would have their refillable resort mug with them, free drink at the court house coffee shop.....

PS Mines going back this month.. :rolleyes1

seriously I was told by a CM that if you bought the mug within a year you could use it throughout that year.....he also said that CM's were told never to question a guest and their mug. Do you think thats true? The cm said he still sees Grand Openning PC mugs from over 2 years ago.... :rotfl2: ..Do you think he meant me..... :rolleyes1
