Temperature from NYC to Bermuda in October?

I am going on the mid-October sailing from NYC to Bermuda and I am wondering if anyone can help with what the temperature might be. In NYC it will be chilly, at least for a Southerner like me, but in Bermuda it seems like it should be about 75-80 F. But what about the 2 days at sea? That is my biggest question. Does anyone have any past experience with this cruise? It seems like it could be a little cold while leaving NYC, but then maybe the journey back could be warm-ish? I just don't want to pack only long pants/capris and then it turns out to be warm the whole time (or even the opposite).
thanks

We are on October 12th cruise. Even as we are heading to/thru the Gulf Stream, I would guess it will be moderately chilly during the sea days.

With the amount of hurricanes we are having I would image it will be windy and cool since hurricane season ends in Nov.

We cruised out of NYC to Bermuda last October 24, 2018. It was actually pretty warm when we cruised out of NYC.

Bermuda was 76-80 during the day. We went to Horseshoe Bay and I got right in the water, it was a little cool. DH thought it was chilly, but it was so blue and beautiful.

We really lucked out with beautiful weather, have a great cruise.

We also cruised to Bermuda last year at the end of October and the weather was gorgeous during the entire cruise! We always get chilly at night during sea days so we each pack a sweatshirt and take advantage of the blankets on deck when we watch movies on the Funnelvision.
