Does anyone know a trick to convert F to C in your head quick. I don't need to be exact just something you can do to convert in the ballpark. I don't know what 60F or 70F feels like or how to dress for it.

70=21.something
Warm enough for me to be in a t shirt

Subtract 32 and divide by 2. The number get will be a little low since 5/9 instead of 1/2. For example 72 F is really 22 C but this formula gives you 20 C. Close enough for choosing clothes.

I always keep in my head that 10C is 50F, so if you're going up or down with temp., for every 5C, add 9F (10 would be pretty accurate for a bit, but not when it gets pretty hot).

if by 9 (accurate)

0C = 32F
5C = 41F
10C = 50F
15C = 59F
20C = 68F
25C = 77F
30C = 86F

if by 10 (not bad):

0C = 30F
5C = 40F
10C = 50F
15C = 60F
20C = 70F
25C = 80F
30C = 90F

That is what I do as well.. it gets it within a degree or 2 an it is usually pretty darn close.. The accuweather.com has been up and down for our dates hasn't it Chris? I wonder what to believe. I guess we just pack for all different weather.

That's what I was taught too and it's fairly accurate. For example, 82F is approx. 25C ((82-32) / 2). Hth!

We're ok, we are taking the truck so we are just going to load the dresser in the back and take everything we own . I hope it will be similar to last year, mid to high 20's during the day and low to mid teens at night.

Thanks for the weather update. As long as I can keep from running over chunks of steel in the dead of the night, in a rain storm, I should be OK . Thanks for the well wishes.

I was one of those kids who was stuck in the change over.
I do everything measurement wise in metric at work (construction). Fuel and distance in metric but weight in pounds and my height in feet and inches. I can't read an imperial tape measure very well, 20 1/2 plus two ticks is what in imperial?

Am I messed up or what!
