So excited!! :cheer2:

They've been begging to go, but my husband just started his own business and we didn't think we'd be able to do it for a while. My DH told them we could go in 4 years just to get them to stop asking, and my son(5) went start packing!! My parents were treating my sis, her hubby and our family to a trip to the mountains this summer. Sis and hubby found out they couldn't go, so 2 weeks ago mom proposed changing the trip to Disney b/c she wanted to take dd to see the princesses while she's in the height of her princess craze. Today's dd's 4th birthday and we're telling them tonight. I can't wait!

That's awesome! I hope it goes well. Now how many times will you hear is it time to go yet? Make sure you video their reactions!:thumbsup2

How Wonderful! Reading your post brought a smile to my face. How did dd and ds react??

Have a great time!:yay:

It wasn't one of those "put on a commercial" reactions.
A) They have little concept of time. They were already thinking they were going in 4 years, so "We're going to DisneyWorld" at first was like "Yeah, we know that". The look on ds's face later in the meal when I told him "If we went in 4 years, you'd be nine years old. But, we're going in 3 weeks when you're still 5." was priceless. Showed him on a calendar when we got home and now he really gets it.
B) It took them a while to process it. They just weren't sure what to think at first.
C) We were sitting in a restaurant, so it was more subdued. When we got home I was like "We're going to DISNEYWOOOORRRLLLD!!!!" and they were jumping up and down and yelling in the kitchen. But, we didn't get as animated in the restaurant so they didn't really either.

It wasn't one of those commercial reactions, but it was funny to watch them as the meal progressed, and it dawned on them more and more. They're crazy excited now, although dd did just tell SIL that we're going in 3 years and then told her teacher that we're going tomorrow. So we still have some time concept issues with dd...
