Tell us something cool/interesting about your town.

Something cool... hrmm... well that's easy! *I* live there ;)

The Clinton Presidential Library (sans blue dress) will open here in November.

I've been to the LBJ and JFK libraries so it will be interesting to see this one too.

Jingle Bells was written in my hometown of Medford, MA.

Playboy is printed in our town. The workers can get one for .25. I don't know if I should of said that or not. What a thing to be known for,

plus all those flyer coupons you get in the newspapers, they print those, plus a lot of other magazines.

My hometown, not where I live now, just discovered that they have the earliest recorded document mentioning baseball, so we now have an earlier record of the game being played than Cooperstown.

We have the highest median income in the country $115,000 (too bad my family is considered low-income here)

There was also a quary in town that gave all the rock for the Brooklyn Bridge.

Lots of famous people lived in Ann Arbor at one point in their lives

A few notables:
-Former US President Gerald Ford
-Madonna
-Bob Seger (went to the same middle school I did, albeit a few years earlier than I)
-George Frayne and John Tichy (2 original members of "Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen")
-Folk singer Katie Geddes
-Professional athletes, including a 2-time super bowl MVP (Tom Brady), Charles Woodson, Desmond Howard, Jim Harbaugh (also went to the same middle school that I did), Brendan Morrison, Rudy Tomjonavich, and others
-Astronaut Jack Lousma
-Ken Burns

Aside from the famous people, Ann Arbor also has a pretty decent-sized university, and a large Pfizer research facility (Lipitor was developed in Ann Arbor, as was Viagra, I belive), and one of the largest art fairs in the nation.

Oh man! This only struck me because I am just doing some marketing research for my company on a town with a median income of $24,000. Yeah, I'd rather be doing research on your area of CT.
