Tell us about your DVC point renting experiences

I really like DVC point renting. It gives one an alternative to the regular rooms at WDW resorts, and if you take your time, do your homework, and plan ahead, you can really score a good deal. I have had only good experiences in point renting. Having said that, I have heard of some not so good outcomes for renters, few and far between though they may be.

I would really like to hear from avid point renters with good advise, stories of nice deals you have made, cautionary tales and warnings, and things about point renting you would all like us to know.
