So many of us have cats. I thought we could talk about them and post pics here.

I have one cat her name is Torrie, short for Victoria. She's named after the train station in London. She's related to a cat I had growing up named Paddington (now you know how she got the name). She's a purebred Birman and I got her just after I graduated from college 6 years ago. She's 7 now.

She was a great cat until I got pregnant with my first son. She started attacking me and we had to get her declawed. She's calmed down a lot since then, but she still doesn't like me very much. She prefers DH even though I'm the one who brought her home.

I have 8 cats, all indoor, all my babies.

Cairo is a 8 year old Maine Coon Female
Mindy is a 5 year old Persian/Siamese mix
Lester is a 5 year old Himi
Diamond is a 4 year old Ocicat
Cinders is a 2 year old black and white rescue baby girl
Meeko is a 4 year old HUGE Maine Coon boy
Dootsie is a 1 year old Maine Coon
Isis is my bad boy 1 year old Silver Maine Coon.

Can you tell I love the Maine Coon breed? All of my babies with the exceptions of Dootsie and Isis are fixed. They have the complete run of the house and are spoiled rotten. I can't imagine my life without babies!

I have 4 cats...........
Keiki.....kid in Hawaiian and he is white with blue eyes and 20 years old
Binky.....was Bianca I don't know how it got changed she is white with yellow eyes and she is 13 years old
Mouse........she is white with green eyes and 4 years old
Elroy aka FatBoy....he is grey and a total slug never see him eat but he is huge!
I used to have 9 cats, 4 dogs (greyhounds and Salukis) 2 birds ,a prairie dog and a man................all my cats live to be old! I used to say to people who asked about my pets that who do you think will go first? answer the birds and the man , they do the most squawking!

Only one kitty. Her name is Tucha. We don't know if she's any particular breed, but she strongly resembles a Russian Blue. She's very cute and very friendly to people. She's also crazy, attacking inanimate objects and hiding under pieces of paper.

She sleeps at the foot of the bed and likes to lick my toes. When I jerk my foot away, she's shocked that my foot moves and jumps in the air.

We have 1 cat - her name is Chyna. She is a black long hair, don't know if shes any particular breed but she does have a fairly flat face like a persian.

She acts as if she owns us and is very spoiled. She is also very, very vocal-she seems to talk to us all the time. :earseek:

We have 3 indoor cats:

Pearl (female), gray tortoise color. She so wants to be an outdoor cat. She can spend hours on the screen porch "chirping" to be let out. She sleeps under the covers with our DD.

Harry (male), orange and white. He's our "big boy." I mean BIG --- he's 23 pounds. We have him on a diet, but he's not losing any weight! He's very lovable and will roll on his back and let you rub his belly for hours. He also licks you like a dog, which he can do for hours, if you let him.

Louie (male), black with a few white spots. He's brain dead! He's got to be the strangest cat we've ever had. He also has a fetish for cocoa puffs.

All our cats have lion cuts. However, with Louie we decided to give him a Mohawk cut. The ladies at the vets thought we were crazy, but he looks really cool!

I have two indoor cats:
Micky (named after Micky Dolenz, not the mouse, hence the reason there is no "e") is 17, almost 17 1/2. She is pretty healthy for her age although she has had 2 seizures this summer. She used to be quiet and shy but 3 years ago, when we put another cat we had to sleep (the other cat was more outgoing), she became more friendly and vocal. She likes to drink water out of a running faucet and will meow until you turn one on in the morning. She is a gray tabby.
Tabitha is 1 1/2 and is a black cat we got last fall at the Humane society. We found out she had been a stray and had already had a litter--they adopted out all of the kittens, but not her, even though she was only 9 months old. She is small and was thin, now is sleeker but nowhere near fat (and still small). She likes to sit in open windows (with screens of course) and watch the world go by.

I have 2 cats.
The oldest is Kai- Hawaiian for Ocean because he had the most beautiful ocean blue eyes when we first got him ( then his eyes changes as he got older) He is a big lug and loves to be cuddled.

the baby is Chica ( was Chico but we found out he was a she after we got her ;) ) she is a nice cat but not exactly what you would call friendly lol she is very independent and lives to torture the dog but its ok its mutual ;)

Pippin is a ~5 year old double-pawed pixie bob that we adopted from the local animal shelter. The volunteers brought her out of the cage to meet us, she grabbed hold of me and we ended up going home with her. (Of course, I had been promised a kitty for two years, so it was about time.) ;)

She's pretty smart and knows certain words (we never trained her) like "purple brush" for grooming time and, of course, "treat." Her double-paws are interesting; she has an articulate "thumb" on each paw that she really uses to hold things, including her humans' fingers when she's lonely.

When we first brought her home, she insisted on meowing at my DH and me to go to bed on time. If we were still up and about past 11:00 pm, she'd seek us and and yowl at us to head to bed, where she would promptly sleep on our feet. However, she's finally realized that we don't always head to bed at the same time each evening and she's learning to live with it :) Of course, now she likes to sleep near my head, purring all the while. She also likes to watch baseball (good kitty!). Oh, and she always greets us at the door when we come home-- friendly if we're on time, but a bit miffed if we're running late (even by 45 minutes-- weird).

Except for this one, I'm thinking maybe I should put it with the rest:

All of mine are indoor cats, although Sam doesn't quite believe that. She manages to escape from time to time, although never goes very far.

Occasionaly I'll let the cats out in the yard while I'm weeding and can keep an eye on them. Just one or two at a time. Aside from eating grass, they don't really like being outside though. We have a deck with a screened gazebo though, and they like being on there.

I have 5 furbabies... and they are all indoor cats.

Smokey 12 yo Blue Point Siamese male (this one is my baby, sleeps in my arms every night and is a real talker.)
Gray ?yo gray rescued male (he was grown when we got him, so we have no idea how old he is) he is DS 11's cat
TJ 8 yo brown tabby rescued male, he is HUGE and belongs to Kari. He waits for her to go to bed each night, and as soon as 9:00 rolls around he starts yowling for her to go to bed. He will also lick us like a dog if we pet him.
Yoshi 4 yo orange rescued male, he is my cat - doesn't really care to have anyone else pay attention to him.
and
Casper 3 yo black rescued male. Also my daughter's cat, although he adores my Dh, and loves to have Otto hold him upside down in his arms like a baby.
I find males to be much more friendly than females for the most part. These guys are all spoiled.

I have 3 cats (all indoors, it's so dangerous out there).

Sox is a "tuxedo" cat, short hair. My mom and husband (was bf at the time) got her for me almost 13 yrs ago after my aunt passed away (my aunt and I were extremely close and I was having a really hard time). She was about 8-12 wks old and instantly adopted me, didn't have much to do with anyone else until 2 years ago when my husband brought home Bob (his story will follow shortly). Sox loves to eat and will pretty much eat anything. She loves my oldest dog and follows him around constantly. She does not like anyone other than our immediate family.

Patches- was a wild cat that lurked around the hospital where I work. I thought she was beautiful and spent weeks trying to catch her. I finally did and she has been with us for over 12 years. She is still very skittish after all this time but she is still beautiful and very sweet. She is a long haired calico and very small.

Bob- he also came from the hospital where I work. One very cold Feb night my husband called me to come outside (he works at the hospital too). There he is with this cat who is devoting a ton of attention to my husband. Next thing you know that cat has jumped up on his shoulders and stretched out, happy as can be. He did this several times. My husband says "If this cat is here when I get off in the morning, I'm taking him home". 7 hours later the cat is still there. My husband swears this is the truth, he told the cat if it wanted to go home with him to come on, the cat follows him, he opens the passenger door of his truck and the cat jumps up on the seat. He swears he never touched the cat. Bob turned out to be a Maine Coon. He was very malnourished and he smelled (spray) and his ears were infested with mites. We took care of all of that and he is the BEST cat I have ever had. He sleeps with my husband and I and just loves to be with us. Oh, and he doesn't have a tail, that's where the name Bob comes from.

Sox did not like Bob at all for many months, now she merely tolerates him. She stopped sleeping with me for a long time, and even now does not sleep with me everyday like she used to.
