Tell us about Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah View

My wife made reservations for May 7-14, 2005 and went with an Animal Kingdom Lodge: Savannah view room for $321.12 with our AAA discount. We would like get some information on what others thought about AKL and the savannah rooms.

get the savannah room....if it is an object, get a standard room & hope to be upgraded for free....happened to us.

we stayed in a savannah room this past april. and all i can say is that it was awesome....there were always animals outside - just sitting on the balcony watching them come and go was exciting. and, great pictures....based only on the pictures one would think that we had gone on a safari...i would definitely recommend it.
