Tell me your non-Disney vacation plans!

Our vacation budget doesn't look like it's going to be spent on anything fun this year. DS is graduating college. We live in a different state from all of our family, so we'll have to book accommodations for everyone who wants to come to the graduation. We have a big family, so that will require several rooms. We also allowed him to choose where he wanted to go for his graduation trip. I was hoping for Europe or at least NYC. He decided he'd rather we spend the money clearing off & installing drainage on the land we bought him for Christmas 2016 to get it ready to put a home on, so we'll be spending time up there, while DH & DS are taking care of that. No fun at all. :(

But very sensible. - It sounds like you really raised him to think ahead!

We have a super busy year planned for trips!

March break we are heading to Playa del Carmen for a week.
April DS and I are heading to Whistler for a music festival he is playing at.
June we are heading to a wilderness resort located in the Great Bear Rain Forest here in BC.
August we are going to WDW.

The wilderness resort is REALLY exciting, at least to us! DH has been advising some first nations groups and he got in contact with the owners of the resort and advised them on a number of issues they were having. To thank him they offered to comp us 4 days at the resort for 4 of us which to us was more than wonderful. Then I looked up the resort and found out that the rates there START at $1950/person/day!:eek::eek:

I'm pretty sure we are not even close to fancy enough for this place! I mean, we love to travel and we are fortunate that we are able to do as much traveling as we do but we are nowhere even close to the league of people who would go to this place! Heck, the "recommended" gratuity amount for the trip is more than our typical budget for an entire DL trip!

The beginning of summer, we'll be welcoming another baby so for the latter part of May into June (I'm due May 29th), we'll be on baby watch. After she is born, we're renting a home in Estes Park CO (driving) for 2 weeks (Last week 2 weeks of July). My dad, FIL and DH will be doing a lot of fly fishing. We love the mountains.
