Tell me your non-Disney vacation plans!

We are economizing this year, so the plan is a very last minute Alaska cruise. On vacationstogo.com, they often get down to $350/pp if you buy within a couple weeks of going, and you are looking for a cruise in May or early June. We are within driving distance of Seattle and Vancouver, so either exit port works. I don't feel the need to do a bunch of shore excursions, as I used to live in Alaska. Would love to see Denali and go fishing in Homer, but those are for another, less budget, year.

We have 2 Disney trips booked this year and a Royal Caribbean cruise. We are doing the Serenade of the Seas out of Boston to Bermuda in October. Our son, gf and gd are moving their for work so we are going to visit them.

We are visiting London and parts of Scotland for two weeks in May with my father and wife. We fly home on the day of the royal wedding. The apartment we rented from VRBO in London was cancelled two days ago. Apparently the owners were told by building management they were no longer able to do short term leases. The rental manager did find us a somewhat comparable apartment for the same price but not in the same neighbourhood. I've rented at least 20 times from VRBO and this is the first time this has ever happened to us. It's always been my worst nightmare. The price of accommodations have sky rocketed since we booked 4 months ago.

My plans for this year:

Late April - La Manga in Spain for 4 nights, followed by 3 nights in Disneyland Paris;
August - Florence or Rome for a week, followed by Venice for a week.

Did AP's this year (usually only do every other) so 3 weeks at WDW

But other plans;
Vegas - 4 days
Cruise from NYC to Bermuda (in port for 3 days in Bermuda) - week
Door County, WI (camper) - week

Take care of the Jewel for us , we love the Serenade vso we're excited to sail another in the same class

Disclaimer: I also use cruise critic :rotfl:

We are RCL junkies. We've done Oasis class 5 times, doing Quantum in 2019. Jewel has a special space in our hearts it was our first cruise ship together. Then our honeymoon.

This will be our first time in a Grand Suite:jumping1:

We had it happen once. The night before leaving for NYC. We were at the Toronto airport motel we got the news.

Was it from VRBO? It's really stressed me out. The rental had 100% perfect reviews.
Yes. What happened was the building had a water pipe burst and the building was evacuated. Just one of those things. So we found a room last minute in Times Square. But it was the marathon weekend and ended up costing much more than we would have liked.

We are renting a house with 4 other couples in South Haven Michigan in June.

In October we are doing a 7 night Carnival Cruise out of New Orleans.

Next month we're driving to McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis, Texas. It's the 8th largest observatory in the world, and has a massive 107" telescope that they're opening for a special viewing night next month. The next morning, we'll go to the Fort Davis Historic Site, which is the longest continuously operational fort in the USA, and was used during the settler & Indian clashes of the last century. This is all in a beautiful, desert mountain setting and we're really looking forward to it.

In April, we'll take a weekend trip to visit the Grand Canyon for the first time. :groom:

A group of people from my high school graduating class are going on a 5 night cruise to celebrate all of us turning 60! My 3 sisters are also going so it will be a sisters bonding time also. I have 2 nieces who do competitive figure skating and we all go to the competitions so there will be a few weekend trips to places like Kansas city, Wichita, and St. Joe to cheer them on. The 7yo will possibly be moving up to regionals soon so we might be traveling a bit farther. It is usually my BIL & 10 yo nephew with 6 females!

I just got back from 8.5 days in Dublin. While the main focus of the trip was visiting his brother in hospital we did tours every second morning and took the opportunity to explore. The bonus was the bus system made it easy to get around the city!

Have a friend working in Switzerland for the month of May and she's trying to convince a few of us to come visit-DH laughed first time I tools him but I have a couple months to work on him lol!
Disney in June (last trip with the AP). Chicago in July (not as bad as it sounds-few 1/2 days of work stuff trip, but get company rate a great downtown hotel for extra days). Short cruise in October out of Galveston. Also very loose plans for a long weekend in Las Vegas in October with extended family-unsure if that will happen this year.
