Tell me your favorite things to do when staying at Polynesian

We were lucky enough to switch the first 3 days of our April trip to the Polynesian. I am trying to gather info on interesting or lesser known things to do when staying at that resort.

So far on our list:
-My 12 yo twin boys want to rent the small boats for an hour (thank goodness there is a 30% AP discount)
-Watch the fireworks from the beach (do they pip the music to the beach?)
-Take the kids to trader sams for some mocktails, cocktails and apps

Please add to my list of must do's for the Polynesian. We are beyond excited to stay there and want to take in and experience as much as we can.

Yes they do pipe music. While I never stayed there I always visit for a Dole Whip, Kona Cafe and Ohanna's. The do have hula dancing but doubt 12 year old boys would have much interest.

My traveling kiddos wuvved the Volcano Pool and actually wanted to leave the theme parks to enjoy it. Dole whips might have had something to do w/ that, LOL.
Walk or run the path from Poly to GF. Relaxing and pretty. Reward yourselves with breakfast at your fav resort spot whether at GF or Poly.
Having a resort day? Rent a cabana. Now that I know they are available I'll be happy to relax in the shade guaranteed.
Rent some fishing pools for the kids. It'll keep them busy, off the streets and ready for the zombie apocalypse.
Take some "me time" whilst the kiddos are boating/fishing and visit the spa @ GF. DGD and I have booked spa treatments there (her idea) followed by luncheon tea.

If you have some down time, it's great to just relax by the pool taking in the beautiful tropical atmosphere .

I remember it was not cheap, but we mailed it to,my kids' best friends (also brothers) and they have it sitting in their room still. Fun souvineer!
