DH & I love Mama Melrose's.
The kids love Sci Fi.
So, we do one for lunch and one for dinner.

If you are a ribs fan, I would highly recommend Sci Fi! They were fantastic (and I don't think I have ever said any meal at Disney is FANTASTIC)! My girls loved sitting in the cars, too!

I'll order the 4 we've been to

50's Prime Time- good food, amazing atmosphere- fun and interactiove.
Sci-fi- good food, very novel especially in the cars!
Hollywood & Vine- previously enjoyed but bad service on our last visit put us off (no refills, barely saw the waitress and were being crowded by people trying to shelter from the rain)
Mama Melrose- food was average but the management was awful.

I love 50's Prime Time for the fried chicken. I rarely have fried chicken, so it is a special treat.

I also like the Brown Derby, but find the menu too heavy for lunch, but perfect for dinner.

We have always had really good food and a lot of fun at 50s PT, as a family of 4 and as a couple.

We ate dinner twice at H&V as part of the F. package. Never again. The food was less than adequate and the tables were left unbussed and dirty.

Mama Melrose is good, basic (think Olive Garden) Italian. We think it is just fine for what it is.

We haven't eaten at the other 2, although I would love to try the Brown Derby one day.

SciFi is really good and a lot of fun, due to the movies and cars.

Mama Melrose is pretty good also, pretty generic atmosphere though.

Hollywood and Vine food is awful, atmosphere is targeted towards preschool kids

50's I know a lot of people love it, and not to downgrade it but personally I wouldnt eat there again if it was the only restaurant in Disney.

The best dining in HS is Brown Derby, by far. Excellent food and atmosphere. Sometimes I ever forget I'm in a theme park! Lunch and dinner menus are the same, so go for dinner because lunch would be rather heavy.

Sci-Fi is also a good choice. Food is OK, but you really go for the atmosphere.

Brown Derby hands down! We always make a ressie for 1130-1145 when they open. It's nice in there. I usually get the cobb salad as an entree (it's an app) and it's just perfect. Dh loves their grouper dish. My oldest loves the fish sticks.

i vote sci-fi lunch, never met a kid or adult who didn't like it! the atmosphere is great, and the lunch is really good i think, just some sandwiches mostly but its nice that they arent too heavy to keep going around. we've never been for dinner in all our trips, the menu just didn't appeal to us as much. but it's definitely a must-do for our family!

Sci-Fi is pretty good, especially for lunch. Mama Melrose was better several years ago. Haven't tried anywhere else, but none of the other places seemed appealing.

Another vote for the Brown Derby. For TS, if we're not eating there, we eating outside of DHS.

The brown derby is AMAZING! It's our family's favorite in that park. You feel transported out of the theme park, with all inclusive good food, street performers, great atmosphere, and great service. We were the family of the day in our last outing to the derby and I got to cut the ribbon(ressie for 11:30am) . We were all awarded special hats and mickey confetti was spread all over our table. The street performers are a lot of fun and they drop by each table for about 5 minutes for a small conversation.

We usually end up at Sci-Fi. My son and I love the tofu dish and we like the fact that you can get a "real" meal or just a sandwich.
