Tell me your favorite dining experiences!

If your kids are at all interested in animals I can not recommend "Dine with an Animal Specialist" at Sanaa enough. It is one of the few Disney experiences that is not over priced. Unless it has changed recently you have to call to make the reservation, it is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and it is limited to around 10 - 14 people so it does sell out.

Our favorite restaurants are...

California Grill
The Wave
Contempo Cafe (quick serve)
Whispering Canyon
Boma
Sanaa
Landscape of Flavors (quick serve)
ESPN Club
Yachtsmen Steakhouse
Biergarten
Chefs de France
Tangerine Cafe (quick serve)
Via Napoli
Raglan Road
Morimoto Asia
Blaze pizza (quick serve)
D-Lux Burger (quick serve)

Wolfgang puck express in Disney springs is a great option and no one has mentioned earl of sandwich good for a quick meal or lunch.

We love the Wave, and my teenaged son can't get enough of the turkey at liberty tree tavern, it's his must do every trip. Sanaa and le Cellier are also top picks with my family, but as Canadians we are a bit biased

The new lounge in AK connected to Tiffins is great. Small plates in a wonderful setting. Try it out for something unique.

IU was going to suggest the same thing. Tiffins was our best meal, and Nomads was amazing.

Um, OP has a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old--who are not "terribly adventurous eaters." Tiffins and Nomad Lounge??? Did you read the question?

Have you dined there? This marvelous restaurant and lounge both have options for less adventurous diners. Read the question and my first thought was Tiffins for the kids..... this restaurant has so much for children to see, and the servers are adept in assisting guests in regards to menu choices. Nomads is the most relaxed setting I can think of that I would take children to. Huge sofas, coffee tables, and view to enchant the most bored kid.

I would also add Skipper Canteen. My DGD said this was her favorite meal....do nto let the names of the entrees scare you.

50's Prime Time! I was with my husband and 7 year old daughter. It was my husbands birthday week and he was wearing his BDay pin around for days. He was getting Happy Birthday wishes, cards and cupcakes everywhere we went. On about day 3 or 4, we went to 50's PT. He got another cupcake. By now, my daughter was super jealous at the cupcakes and special attention HE was getting. She started to pout a little at the table. A waitress walked by and asked why she looked so sad...she was at the happiest place on earth! I explained that she was just a little jealous that her father was getting all the attention, but someday we would be back for her birthday week.

The waitress went into the kitchen and the next thing I knew, about 10 - 15 waitstaff were coming at us with cupcakes and each had a "Happy Birthday" pin, with her name on it, for her shirt. She wore them with pride for the reminder of the trip (That was fun, pinning them on every morning :( ) !!

Just with Tiffins; they have options for children that I would say 90% of kids would eat.

Disney Springs:
D-Luxe Burger
The Boathouse
Raglan Road
Homecoming

We don't have children so it is just DH and I but we aren't adventurous eaters. We enjoyed both Mama Melrose & 50s in DHS. We go at lunch time as our dinner experiences at park TS have been average at best (including MM). If you are visiting DHS or Epcot and want a break from the parks (or staying at a Boardwalk resort) ESPN is good (same menu lunch/dinner) as is Capt. Grille (only done lunch ) in YC .
YSH is outstanding and worth the trip.
Last trip we had lunch at Grand Floridain Cafe. They have a combined breakfast/lunch menu now. Food was very good as was the service. (not the case 2 years ago). Agree with a previous poster if you are in DS Puck Express is very good (Marketplace) We have eaten there at least 3 times a trip.
If you are staying at either POFQ or POR I recommend Boatwright's for dinner.

Here's what we loved:

MK: BOG dinner was really good. I had the steak and thought it was great. Our other TS was CRT, which was great, but probably not what your boys want. We also loved LTT for lunch, and ice heard good things about dinner as well.

Epcot: we are at Via Napoli and thought it was delicious. We had pizza and everyone loved it.

AK: Ysk and Yeti was great! My DH is pretty unadventurous but even he loved it.

Resorts: GF Cafe was a surprise hit. One of the best meals we had. This is the only one DH specifically requested we repeat. We enjoyed Cape May breakfast, but preferred CP. Beaches and Cream was also good, though crowded.

I definitely agree with this. For Disney, it's VERY reasonably priced. I've done it twice-so far! Each time I had a different animal keeper and it was a unique experience each time.

So we have been to Disney 5 times in the last 5 years, and our trips are getting stale, as much as I hate to say it. we go to the same restaurants every time, and although they are places we really like, we want to change it up a bit when we go again next December. We have 2 boys who will be 6 (almost 7) and 10 at the time of our next trip. The boys and I aren't terribly adventurous eaters, but maybe willing to stretch out of our comfort zone a little :) Here are the places we typically eat, and the other one we definitely want to keep for next time is dinner at Ohana (it's our favorite place).

HS: Hollywood & Vine (the seasonal dine the last 2 times)
Epcot: Did Biergarten on our first trip, not opposed to doing it again but open to other ideas. No Akershus, did it twice already. Where else should we try there?
MK: Done Crystal Palace a lot
AK: Do Tusker House every time, love it (we even named our puppy Tusker!) but interested in maybe trying Yak and Yeti? Also have done Rainforest Cafe
Resorts/Other: Done 1900 Park Faire breakfast, Ohana dinner (we love and will do again next time), Whispering Canyon, Hoop Dee Doo (did once, really enjoyed it), Boma dinner, Cape May breakfast and dinner
Disney Springs: Done T Rex

In particular, we are interested in the Sunday brunch at Narcoosee's, and especially any recommendations for Epcot. We are not opposed to Signature dining (2 meals) if it is really outstanding.

Thanks so much!

I would definitely go to Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is our favorite dining experience. Get a window table and you get to see animals while eating delicious food. Get the bread service and dipping sauces.

HS: I would say SciFi and 50s Prime Time

AK: try Yak & Yetti

Epcot: Teppan Edo

I've never heard of this but it sounds like a great experience! I was thinking of lunch at Sanaa for our trip next year so maybe I will look into this. Although my younger DD will only be 4, and it says recommended for ages 8 & older. Do you think a 4-year-old would enjoy it, or would it mostly be over their heads? My older DD will be 8 and I think she'd love it.

I believe there was a minimum age so check. It is part a description of their job and tasks and part Q & A. I think it would be a little too advanced for a 4 year old but if there isn't a minimum and you think your 4 year old would be into it go for it. I would probably just bring my 8 year old and leave my 4 year old with whomever I'm traveling with or in a kids club for a bit.

My kids (12, 9, 7, 2) absolutely loved California Grill. We were there during the fireworks and they still talk about it a year later. It was very memorable for them "being on the roof of the Contemporary."

Teppan Edo at Epcot. Probably the only restaurant at Disney that all 3 of our kids agree is a "must do" each trip. The food is pretty standard hibachi food and the chefs do a good job. Nothing at Teppan Edo is too adventurous.

We went to Raglan Road last time and everyone really enjoyed it.

We have ate at several of the popular places, and the only one we walked away from saying this is gross was Crystal Palace dinner. I would compare it to a hospital cafeteria. We honestly walked out of Crystal Palace, and over to caseys and ate hot dogs. Breakfast was good, so we assumed that would transfer over to dinner. Nope.

Good to hear. Im bringing my daughter there for the first time, in a couple of months!

We love love loved the chefs table dinner at flying fish.

We also had a fantastic dinner at the Boathouse and wonderful dinner at the Wave

Ohana is our only must do and repeat from previous years. This year we are trying Teppan Edo, Be Our Guest, Raglan Rd, and Sanaa for the first times.

do you know if the chefs tables is only offered on certain days? I just saw this option and tried for Sunday 2/25 and it gave me a weird 'no results' different from V & A (which is booked bc I just called) made me think that the chefs table at FF isn't offered every night? i'd love to try it
