Tell Me Where We Should Stay

I've stayed at Homewood Suites and it was lovely, we walked, it was quicker than getting the bus at the toy story lot.
I wouldn't stay there again, it was just too far away even though the breakfast and room was good.

If you don't mind waiting for the bus it's ok, but it was a good 25 min walk which we didn't mind at the time, but I don't think I'd do it again when prices are similar a lot closer.
What are the best suite style rooms on harbor that are a close walk? We almost always stay with our DVC points now but I'm sure there will be times when points run out and we need our fix of a DLR trip. The only close ones I know of are the HoJo and Courtyard but those seem to be fairly pricey and when I looked the Homewood rooms were a fairly good discount for the extra space.

I think another "perk" of the toy story option is the clearing security in the early AM at the lot which went fairly fast and allowed us to get ahead of the security madness at the Harbor entrance and made for a much more successful rope drop attempt.

I've only stayed at Desert inn and suites that is close, I've stayed at a few up on Katella closer than Homewood but again I like being right across the street now. If I book early enough - which I tend to do I get good deals. I booked 9 months ago and got a $199 a night rate - it's over $280 a night now for my dates in May/June

We stayed in a kitchenette suite at park vue and it was great. 2 queens in one room with a door and a sleeper sofa, kitchenette and bathroom in the other room. Was very spacious.

Home2Suites and Hilton garden inn aren’t technically on harbor, but very close, have spacious rooms/suites. Camelot inn, Tropicana inn, Best western park place inn, best western Anaheim inn, grand legacy, Anaheim hotel, and castle in. All have suites. We also stayed at the Del sol inn and had a room with two queen beds and a bunk bed. All in one room. It was a little tight finding room for all of our luggage and we are a family of 4. So I think having 6 people in this room would be tight.

Yes, I did. Again, they are a little pricier than some of the other options that will fit our family of 5.
The family suite (the park view suite) is great because you get two bathroons

Only negative we had was that the pull out sofa wasn’t comfortable
Next time we need this space and stay I’m going to order a pillow top mattress cover to be delivered ;-)

This is good to know. Having 2 bathrooms is a huge plus.

Has anyone stayed at Hilton Anaheim Garden Grove? Park proximity? Nice hotel? Getting to parks? First trip to Cali. Thanks.

And what is this Toy Story lot people talk about? Do you walk there and get a park tram? Is the hotel I mentioned in my previous post close to this? Thanks!

Is it the main Hilton? (Hilton Anaheim) or Hilton garden inn anaheim/garden grove? One is close to the Toy Story lot and one isn’t.

Garden Grove.
Here is a map. The red circle at the bottom is the hotel and the purple circle is the Toy Story lot. It’s quite a walk. The blocks are long. ART might be easier to take. I’ve not stayed in that area in a really long time.

Of the ones listed, I've only stayed at Desert Inn and Suites (2015, 2017, 2018) and Park Vue (2022.)

I'd probably go with Park Vue. It's a bit closer, which makes a big difference in the heat of summer, IMO.

Thanks for this map. Really helps!

I’m sure we will go again at some point and stay at a closer hotel. Thanks for your input ☺️
