So, I did a short report on Walt Disney, and I would like to know what you think of it? I have to present this report on Thursday for my final, along with the banner I made.
Here's what the banner looks like:

Walt Disney
- Walt Disney was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago Illinois. Walt showed a very early interest in drawing, and art. He would sell his doodles and sketches of animals, and nature to his nearby neighbors. He was also fascinated by trains. He attended McKinley High School in Chicago during the day, and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in the evenings to improve his art skills. He joined the Red Cross and was sent over seas to France. Once he came back from France, he began producing short animated films for local businesses, in Kansas City. He started his own company called Laugh-O-Grams. By the time that started, the company went bankrupt. With the help and support of his brother, Roy Disney, they were able to expand their production operation to the rear of a Hollywood real estate office, thanks to their Alice in Cartoonland featurette. When that series ended, he created a new character. He was going to name him Mortimer Mouse, but his wife suggested Mickey, thus, Mickey Mouse was born. His road to success had its ups and downs, but in the end, it all became a phenomenal success. Unfortunately, he died on December 15, 1966.
- Walt Disneys style of art was cartooning. He was known as one of the first animators. His very first cartoon that featured Mickey Mouse was Plane Crazy, which was a silent animated cartoon. Steamboat Willie was the very first animated cartoon with synchronized sound. Since Steamboat Willie, Disney made more cartoons with synchronized sound, thus the Silly Symphonies became. He used Technicolor with the Silly Symphonies, which were originally in black and white. He signed a three-year deal with Technicolor so that no other company can use it. He experimented with the Silly Symphonies by using new techniques such as distinctive character animation, special effect, and multiplane cameras. After experimenting, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was released, being the very first full-length animated movie.
- Walt Disney is important because of his ideas, imagination, optimism, and creativeness. His work brought hope, happiness, and universal means of communication to the people of every nation. He brought us closer to the future while teaching us the past. His contribution was creating Disneyland, where family of all ages can enjoy time with each other in a well-kept clean park. He also brought a new idea to the world of animation. If it wasnt for Walt Disney, there would be no Disney Company.
