Tell me what you love about

Views, location walking distance to MK and location on Bay Lake. I love the large villas configuration with the extra full bathroom. I also love the studio layout - it's a good cozy. TOTWL and being at the CR resort.

Walking to MK. Castle/fireworks views from some villas. Easy walk to the MK bus hub to get to other resorts for dining. MK train whistle in the mornings.

DW loves the styling in the rooms. It is not her "normal" style so she gets a different room feeling than at home or the other DVC resorts.

The walk to MK
Being on the monorail (after a quick walk to contemporary) with easy access to MK, Poly and GF
TOTWL
Zero entry pool
Modern theming (a change of pace for me and my 100 year old house)
Boats to WL and FW
Community Hall
Two bathrooms
Full Balconies (as compared to the BCV balcony crapshoot)

Not so much, just that MK is close. Other than that, well... the rooms are small, studio are like a closet. Cheap cheesy furnishing...
But the great thing about DVC is we have many choices. And apparently different likes.

Everything.

We own here and bought because it (and the CR) is hands down our favorite resort. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..

1. Obviously the proximity to MK. That walk is unbeatable.
2. The views. THE best roof-top view from TOTWL. We watched the fireworks repeatedly from here, and I could stare out over either the Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake all day or night long. I will even include the view from our First Floor-inner C room we had last December. It was so peaceful.
3. The lobby smell. I am always trying to find something in Bath & Body that matches it LOL!
4. The decor. Not everyone's cup o tea but we happen to enjoy the IKEA-like stylings. We find it very zen...spa-like.
5. Contempo Cafe. Lots of great choices and their all good.
6. The Wave. A hidden gem for breakfast or dinner.
7. California Grill...classic.
8. Several pools to choose from.
9. Great marina activities.
10. MONORAIL.
11. 2 bathrooms in the 1 bedroom.
12. Boat access to Ft. Wilderness.
13. Great shopping on the concourse.
14. The sounds of the MK floating in through your window...
15. In our experience, the friendliest CM's of all the resorts we've stayed at.

In addition to everything Jennasis said above, we enjoy being able to walk over to the MK bus hub and grab a bus to any other location on property!

Walk to MK...Top of the World lounge...and for some reason I LOVE the lobby smell!!!

BLT has ideal location with walking or easy monorail trip to MK. Rooms on higher floors have good views (consider lake view actually better than theme park view). The 1BRs and 2BRs are huge, the 1BRs have two and the 2BRs three bathrooms, and the almost floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows in the living room are special. If you have a car you can generally park close to the building. Chef Mickey's is one of the best character buffets, California Grill one of the best table service restaurants, and you have easy boat trip to Hoop Dee Doo at Fort Wilderness

Dislikes: studios are too small; lower theme park view rooms (particulartly fifth floor and sixth floor) are a point rip-off as your main view is the large parking lot in the front of the building; you still have to live with the Contemporary building itself. And not necessarily a dislike but an issue are the doors to the balconies. To open them there is a child safety feature where you need to time together the turning of the handle with one hand and the opening of the latch with the other. Though I am well beyond my prime, I find that I often need an adult to help me get them open.

Just to compare a few studios, at the current dues cost, with the points required,
For 7 nights in Magic season, using the lowest number of point/view available.
To get standard view at VGF, Poly, BLT and BWV you will most likely need them as a home resort.

Poly 169 pts $6.01 $1029.21
VGF 169 pts $5.71 $964.99
BCV 134 pts $6.18 $821.42
BLT 139 pts $5.28 $733.92
BWV 108 pts $6.18 $667.44
SSR 106 pts $5.44 $576.64

As you can see not all studios/resorts cost the same for a 1 week stay. Add in the difference in purchase price and you can see why most recommend SSR as your first purchase.

All of the above (we love it) but also -

So compact. Easy to go up to ToTWL, down to pool, a short 5-10 to Contemporary shops and food.

For us, the decor is more our style but also its a calm escape from the parks and everywhere else. I love that its simple and quiet and I think it helps our kids calm down too. I love the Disney crazy but in our room its always pretty chill. Especially with a lake view...it's such a break, its lovely!

For midafternoon nap breaks from MK, it simply cannot be beat. We spent happy days in MK from 9-1 and then 4-7 with happy rested kids. Loading up the stroller in the morning (waters in the bottom basket, kid toys and cups, etc) and not having to completely unpack them at any point..not for a bus or anything! The pack and play fits in the laundry room - a bonus for midday naps, nice and dark!
