Tell me what to do with expiring points, please

I had borrow some points from my 2012 and booked a few nights at the Grand CA to use in June 2011. But something came up and wasn't able to make it. But was able to use part of the borrowed points on my stayed last week at Disneyland Resort.

Since those are actually borrow points from my 2012 year. I thought i could put it back to my 2012 summer trip (Big mistake). Now i have * points hanging that i MUST use 'til the end of Feb 2012.

Long story short...since my next Disney trip won't happen 'til summer next year. Is there any way i could save those * points?

I'm all new at this DVC points and i'm not fully understand how it works yet. When it says it's gonna expire in Feb 2012. Does that mean, i must use those points 'til the end of Feb ...or book something before Feb?

You would need to use them or lose them since they expire February. You may want to check out renting - we have a plan that folks with a low post count can purchase here on the DIS for advertising points for rent. Please visit the Rent/Trade Board for details.
