Tell me, what makes a man do this?

DH woke me up at 5am to tell me the dog had thrown up and he cleaned it up and he would get the kids on the bus, so I could just sleep in. Huh? You had to wake me up? :confused3 Could you not have just dealt with it?

Maybe I'm just being sensitive. I have a hard time sleeping--getting to sleep & staying asleep. What I don't need to it be awakened for no good reason.
I did manage to get another hour's sleep, but it isn't the same as sleeping through. :rolleyes1

LOL! Oh, I'm sorry. He had to wake you to tell you how wonderful he was. He didn't want you to miss it. :teeth:

DH does that same type of stuff. He gets up at five am, so, therefore, so do I. He says to me "why don't you sleep in later". Right...after the alarm goes off for 5 minutes and the dog is pawing at me to let him out because DH won't wake up. Then he turns on the light to get his clothes out of the closet. Hmmmm....there all the same! :rotfl:

Men are so proud of themselves if they do just ONE thing that we do on a normal basis. For example, "Look Honey, I did a load of laundry!" And we're supposed to pat them on the back like that ONE load helps us out SOOOOOO much.

Can you tell that's a sore spot with me?

MY DH asks EVERY night "Should I let the dogs out now??" WEll yeah! UNless you want to be the one that cleans up the floor in the morning!

Don't know why it gets to me so much...guess it's just that he has to
ASK if it should be done!

Hey, whatever happened to that good ol' invention - note paper? A note and a piece of tape on the bathroom mirror would have done the trick!

Same thing here only it's 2:00 AM and he hits the snooze button like 5 times
GEEZZZ wonder why i can't get back to sleep????? :confused3

Maybe you should get up and do it yourself next time instead of complaining about it. :confused3

I would have to stick the note to my wife's forehead to make sure she saw it, and then staple it on to make sure it didn't fall off. Then she would probably complain about that.

Maybe you missed the point.

No maybe women are always complaining on the board about my husband doesn't help, he doesn't do this and then when he does its my husband can't do it right. Men are basically in a lose lose situation dealing with women.

She wasn't complaining that he did it, just that he woke her up to tell her.

Exactly! He didn't want you to sleep through the few wonderful deeds they do!

Well said Serena! :flower:

My husband used to wake me up whenever he dealt with the kdis because he couldn't bear to have to get up while I slept. It was like he wanted to even the score or something.

I don't understand what there is to complain about :confused3 The husband wakes up, cleans up puke and gets the kids ready for the bus while she gets to sleep. :confused3 Seems like he's getting bashed for doing a nice thing. I wonder how he would have been treated if he was the one sleeping and didn't get up to do all those things????
