Tell me this person is wicked wrong!!!!

I happened to be reading a post on FB today between two people who were chatting about dining ressies. One was so exicted to have booked her ADRs today, as today was her 180 day window.

In response to this comment, someone posted that she could have made her ressies online ANY time - that if you were staying at "a hotel on grounds" that the 180 day rule doesn't apply.

Now, I've been a loyal DISer for awhile, but I freely admit I don't know it all. But PLEASE tell me this person has no idea what she's talking about!! I've never so much as heard a whisper about making ressies online prior to 180 days out!

She has no clue. Maybe confused with the 180+10 for on site guests.

But in fairness she may have been able to make ADRs as soon as she booked an Orlando vacation, since most people don't book much earlier than that. Very few of my clients book a vacation more than six months out unless it's for a major school vacation or a holiday week.

Thank you!!! Wonder what in the world possessed her to write that!?! Clearly she could not have ever actually MADE online ressies more than 180 days out, right? So what's the deal? Just wanting to rain on someone else's parade, maybe?

Probably just misinformed. There are a lot of people misinformed about DW out there...apparently not everyone spends 24/7 on the DIS planning their trip like I do!

Like the PP mentioned, maybe she booked her trip after her 180 window opened so it was never an issue. Who knows? Why don't you ask?!

Yup, she is wicked wrong. You must be from the north! I use the term 'wicked' all the time and people think I'm strange! That's what happens when you go from living in New England to the south! People then think you're wicked weird!
