Tell me the FIRST thing you're gonna do when you go to DL

I don't know. I haven't been to disneyland in 12 years!!! I'm going through major withdrawl. I will be going on the ladies trip in March though. I think my favorite last time was Indiana Jones:)

I got chills just reading your post. I am so happy for you that your trip never got cancelled and that you will be there in 4 days!! How very fun!!!! Have a great time!

Oh, that is so sweet of you, dhlovesbelle! I just saw your post now! Whew! It was close several times to being cancelled, but now we are 4 days from the Mouse and it looks like all will be well until then (cross fingers). After all the close calls, I started to think that my friends who are going were not that excited but then one of them e-mailed today and was saying that it would be a lot of fun and she was looking forward to the TOTP. So I breathed a sigh of relief there. Nothing worse than almost having to cancel and fighting to get to DLR, and planning and organizing - only to have your companions not be enthused! But that is not the case this time, thankfully! And I have my Baggallini and my LGMH (thanks to Prettyprincessbelle), so I feel somewhat prepared! I am hoping all the preparation and plannign this time will make it an even better trip, and I will be very grateful to get there because it seemed like it wasn't going to happen!

Thanks again for the kind words!:goodvibes

Peter Pan, then Pinocchio, Snow White and back over to Mr. Toad...we knock out the big 4 dark rides in Fanstasyland then its off to Alice and the teacups.

Oh wow, this thread is huge. I haven't read all 5 pages yet....but wanted to post what we do. We walk under the bridge together and then we stop near the hub at the end of MS and decide what to do from there. We don't have a set thing we do first, we just decide what we missed the most and go fom there.

Will be there for 6 day so I will be in no hurry.

Being as this is my first trip to DL and I'm a popcorn junkie, I'm hitting the first stand I can find on my way to wherever the DW drags me too.

Anybody want to clue me in on where the closest popcorn is thru the gates.

We have discovered that they don't always have all the stands up and ready to go first thing in the morning. DH wanted coffee and we went to one that looked open to me but he said they weren't ready. If anything should be ready first thing in the morning, you would think it would be coffee. :confused3

If I get there before the park opens, I make a beeline for Peter Pan. If I get there in the afternoon, I usually head to the Jungle Cruise or the Golden Horseshoe to see Billy Hill's next show.

First day frontier land second day new Orleans square , third day toon town , fourth day adventure land , fifth day DCA sixth day where ever the scooter takes me :) ( getting fast passes thru out the day for tomorrowland for night time)

Typically I prefer to hit Fantasy Land first and we get there early afternoon since we spend the morning driving down from No Cal. Depending on lines we may or may not go straight to PP. In Dec I took my parents and my mom ended up fielding phone calls between my sister, the dentist, and insurance when we first walked in - major annoying. So I took DD for ice cream then we did pics at the partners statue then got in line for tink. Mom was on the phone the whole time. I left her somewhere on Main Street with Dad :rotfl:

FP for BTMRR, then ride BTMRR, then PoTC and HM.:worship: After that, everything else is icing on the cake.:)

Don't forget to hit the kettle corn stand in DTD right by the Mickey and Friends tram stop. We have to get one of their big bags every time we go!

You have made my night, possibly my whole WEEK!!!!!!!!:worship:

Let me get this straight, Dole Floats, Popcorn, AND Kettle Corn on the same property?? I wonder how many days I can go eating nothing but those three items?popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

If it is a magic morning, I hit Peter Pan first. If not, Space mountain or Indy. Though one of these days, I'm gonna sleep late and do California Screamin first.

What is funny is that whenever my friend and I walk through DTD and go right past that kettle corn stand, my friend HATES it! She recoils in horror. The smell actually makes her nauseous, and she goes out of her way to avoid it or plug her nose as we pass! I can never understand it - even though I don't eat kettle corn, I love the smell of it! I think it smells wonderful, and it is one of the things I enjoy about walking through DTD. I can't fathom how someone could get sick from that aroma!

I hope you don't like cinnamon rolls because if you do, there is also an AWESOME one of those on the DLR property too!

when we had AP's and could go to the parks a couple evenings per week, we'd always head straight for POTC. always, always, ALWAYS. it was that way for 2 years.

now that we live out of state and only get one trip to DLR a year, at busier times of the year, we always feel that we MUST do Peter Pan first, of course. so we head straight for Peter Pan. Then we power walk over to Dumbo. the we do the rest of the entire first-hour-in-fantasyland ritual that Ridemax lays out. and finally THEN, we go do POTC. the lines are usually still really manageable by then.

it's not the same, i MISS doing POTC first. as somebody else here stated, it was our "family ritual". but alas, we don't want to spend 45 minutes in the Peter Pan line, so we've sold out.

:rotfl:

No weakness for cinnamon rolls. Disney Popcorn is my achilles heel though. When times get tough and the stress starts getting to me I always tell the DW that I'm gonna pack up and go work at the popcorn stand in front of the castle at WDW. Crappy paycheck but man what an office view.

If the popcorn at DL is half as good as WDW I'll be in good shape for my vacation.
