Tell me more about Club 33

My DH soooo wants to become a member. I have no clue why he is so interested in becoming a member, but he does. We have read a lot of websites that have given us conflicting info. Some sites say there is a 14 year waiting list, others say they aren't even taking names for a wait list at all. Do you know anything about Club 33, how to get on the wait list, or any other info? Thanks!

During the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour last March, we were able to view the lobby area & learn about the club. At that time, the list was closed & no new names were being added since the list is quite lengthy. It is very spendy to join & you still will have yearly fees. It's not for the common man.......It is something I'd love to be able to see & experience once, but for us, financially we'd never be able to afford it (if we were lucky enough to be on the list).

Your best bet is to try to find someone that has a membership (if again, you're lucky enough to know somebody) & get invited for a meal!! Good luck!!

Well, there's closed and there's closed. I'm sure lots of people would put themselves on the list just for fun. "Hey, maybe in 10 years I'll be able to afford it." That's probably just the standard line.

If he's really serious, he should write them a letter asking to be considered for membership.

As for the cost, it's in line with many country clubs. Well within the reach of many white-collars. For comparison, the Newport Beach Country Club's golf membership runs over $9000/year when you add in the minimum food/beverage charge. Plus the initiation fee. Hey, they have a 6 year installment program with no finance fees!

Club 33 sounds like a bargain.

Welcome to the DISBoards.

Many of us would LOVE to be members of Club 33 - someday.

Despite the cost to be a member, there is a 15 year waiting list for membership at Club33. They have stopped taking applications because of the length of the wait.
