The Food and Wine Festival is a blast! Plus WDW is so generally festive year round, you will hardly notice there are no Christmas decorations.

Or perhaps you, like DH and I, just need to accept the fact that you will have to purchase annual passes every year.

I know how you feel but no matter when you go there will always be another time of the year that you also wish you could go. Since we are retired I think we have found a solution. No way do we want to go during the summer so this year what we will do is buy our AP and go right after Thanksgiving. We will return in the Spring before many of the kids get out of school and hope to see some of the Flower & Garden show and the Flower Power concerts, we will go yet again around Thanksgiving and with any luck catch some of the Eat to the Beat Concerts and some of the Christmas decorations start going up then. I believe that there was an AP showing of the lights on the 19th of November so it might repeat next year. At 10-12 days each trip we manage to do quite a bit and make good use of our AP's. Since many of our days are Value season we might get a good code also. Has worked the past few years. See you there!

Well, first time I went was Christmas, then last year, just Oct. This year, we went in Oct. and Dec. and I must say, I asked my husband if we could go in Oct. every year for forever! This trip wore me out. It was so busy and cold and the Christmas party was a huge disappointment. It just wasn't as special as the Halloween one. You will have a great time in Oct.

We love the fall and consider it the best time to go for the combination of decent weather and low crowds. Of course, I've never been at Christmas, so I can't compare. Give it a shot and worse come to worse, it will make you appreciate your Christmas visits all the more!!!
