So we were going to take DD in may half term for her 16th birthday trip to DLH but they will be doing voluntary revision sessions and I really don't want her to miss anything as its been a rather disruptive year at her school unfortunately :(

This leaves us now with easter

Pros are its obviously closer to her birthday as she was born on the 24th

Cons - price and crowds

I am hoping that as we have been before and we wont have to scrum for the characters we should manage with fast passes and extra magic hours etc

Is it really that bad then ??

The last time we went was in December and we literally walked on to everything so feel we may have been spoilt :confused3

We were thinking of going the first week of the easter holidays so should be back before the 12th which is when the first group of schools break up

Am sure she wont care as long as she is in DLH
:)

Also bear in mind that the Thursday of May half term week is ascension day so that day and the Friday would be absolutely manic anyway. :confused3 We have decided to go that first week of the Easter holidays too and are expecting it to be busy but not as bad as ascension day.

We are thinking about going on Friday 4th straight from school because that is a cheaper day to arrive than during the week! It will mean being there over the weekend though which will be busier so we haven't quite decided yet.:goodvibes

I was worried about the weekend so thought about going on sunday the 6th for 4 nights so we can getin and out before easter weekend

To be honest i don't care about how busy it is am sure we can cope it will just be nice to go and DLH has been DD's dream for so long cannot wait to see her face when we finally check in (am going to tell her we are at SL because easter is so expensive) heehee

You shouldn't have any trouble arriving any day that week because Easter isn't until 21st April this year. The first day of the holidays in some parts of France is 12th though. :goodvibes

I am quite keen on being there on the Sunday so that we can try the Sunday brunch. Realistically that would mean arriving Saturday so I think we may as well just arrive late Friday to get the cheaper rate and then spend Saturday in the studios to try to avoid some of the crowds. :goodvibes

As a family of non drivers we go by Eurostar as we are only 45 mins from ashford but they don't go direct on Saturday

I loved the idea of sunday brunch but if we actually stay there I think we wont miss out too much

Not sure who is more excited me or her :)

You may want to check with Eurostar as in school holidays they normally do an extra train on a Saturday.
