Tell me, is Peter Pan different at WDW MK?

Look. The line is several millenia long. We have ridden PP at DLand California plenty of times. I have been there, I have done that.
Is it somehow different or life changing or anything else at WDW MK that is going to make it worth for my grouchy behind to fly 2,5000 miles and stand in line for an hour in Florida heat for?
I live an hour from Disneyland ya'll. If this is the same exact ride I do not need to waste the time lol

There are differences. But, to say that they're life-changing...no, of course not. The part of the PP in WDW that DLR does not have is the interactive queue. I have to say that I don't typically ride this ride standby just because of its long lines due to it being a slow-load ride. However, if you're able to do the standby line with a shorter wait, it is definitely worth it.

If you do decide to come to WDW, I'd be curious as to your flight route and stops from CA to FL that would take 25000 miles.

Thanks, this helps. It's just already long at DLand even longer at WDW, so I was really struggling if it was worth it

Totally get that. I'm a nostalgia person, so I love PP in both parks. I was just in DL in October and I am reminded how much I love that park. But...if you get the chance for the interactive queue....it's cool.

We always save Peter Pan for the end of the night. Fantasyland clears out a lot during the fireworks and after, the lines are not crazy at all. That way we can usually walk on a lot of the fantasyland rides and Peter Pan and 7 dwarves are about 30 minute waits. It’s the only time I do Peter Pan without a fastpass

I just don't understand the obsession with this ride. Maybe it's better with kids? It's nice. The views are pretty. I just don't think it's ever worth waiting in that long long line to ride. Though the interactive queues in WDW (especially at HM) are nice. To each their own. Just know, I won't be the reason it takes you longer to get on the ride, because I don't care to wait in the line. I say spend your WDW time on rides you can't get out here.

I think it depends on your PP philosophy (harhar)... we are WDW vets and ride it every chance we can without waiting in a long line (so don't forget about Fastpasses, which you can snag day of if one pops up), and it's just one of those rides that is so "Disney" to us we love it. So, when we ventured to Disneyland finally for our first and only trip, we had to ride it and ropedropped to head there. If you don't have that attachment then, no, I don't think there's enough of a difference to mandate doing anything you don't really want to do.

Unlike DL, it has FP at WDW. We prefer the ride at WDW, but I think that is because we were WDW people before we became DL people. From what I have heard, DL people tend to prefer their own version. DD has always loved it, so we usually book it as a FP in advance.

We are WDW people, but took our 3rd trip to DL in November and finally rode it for the first time at DL on that trip. I had skipped it every time previously for the same reason, but in reverse - the line is always so long at DL, there is no fast pass, I know our queue is better at WDW, so did I really need to stand in that line to see the same ride?? After finally doing so I can say that I definitely noticed the difference between the two and I really enjoyed DL’s version, but I don’t know that I would stand in the line for it again. However, I think the queue at WDW is worth experiencing and would go either at rope drop or the end of the night to see it. I still wouldn’t stand in a long line for it, though. You miss it with fastpass, so we always ride once in stand by soon after rope drop at WDW just to experience it.

Why would you not just fastpass it? I never ride anything at MK without a fastpass—easy enough to get FP for every ride except 7DMT day of with refresh method even for our family of five.

Having just visited WDW during Christmas and a DL AP -- our priorities were all rides not found in DLR---even rode the Barnstormer. We still found time to do PP--even did FP for it cause you CAN at WDW!

I liked WDW's version slightly better than DL's. Subtle, but noticable for PP vets.

@ShadowCross - PP is pretty much the essence of imagination and all things that can be. don't become a lost boy ;)

Well now I'm confused. Everyone says the intercative line is the best part so DON'T fastpass it, but then everyone says its just ok so DO fastpass it.

Also WDW 1st timer and i really dont know much about FP+/refresh/etc. Maybe you have pointers?
