The desire to decorate my whole house in Disney increases greatly with the amount of wine consumed at my Disney resort....discuss..

Jenny:)

I really want a Disney kitchen. My goal is to pick up something every trip and since we're new to DVC, I know I have many, many wonderful trips ahead of me, but I fear I'll grow impatient! Thus far I only have 2 sets of place mats and dish towels. Not sure what I'll get next.

Oh wait! I didn't read the post properly! OK - think I'll go get a glass and reconsider my response. :goodvibes

So far I'm into all Disney dishes and flatware and a Disney doorbell...on the second bottle at Vero Beach after a huge storm...

Well, I have finally finished replacing all my coffee cups :goodvibes You have to start somewhere right? :lmao:

You would think the way we all spend money at Disney and how much the alcohol lowers our inhibitions they'd give alcohol away!

Did you just start unpacking, LOL, :rotfl:

BTDT and why do I need PLASTIC Mickey wine glasses?!? And BLUE kitchen accessories when my kitchen is yellow and red?

You have to gift that stuff you know you shouldn't have bought.

:rotfl2:

I don't think we need wine to get the urge to bring the "magic" home.

I certainly love my glass of wine or three :rolleyes1:

But that has nothing to do with my Pooh & Friends Fall Dinnerware, Christmas Dinnerware or everyday dinnerware. Nor does it affect the fact that I have Mickey measriring cups and spoons at home and in my OL plus all the other utensils and pancake molds, egg molds, ice molds....and artwork...is there anything besides Disnay on your walls? We don't actually drink out of the irreplaceable wine glasses, or make sure we have enough so that once we break a few they are retired so we have at least. One of each!

Can I substitute beer? I'm with ya if I can substitute beer.......:rolleyes1

Yes, you can substitute beer....and now we have another storm in Vero...another bottle of wine...now I'm contemplating a Dooney and Burke purse and Mickey fireplace accessories (never mind that I don't have a fireplace...yet...)

Jenny:)

Ok we have been using a blue/yellow Mickey 4 person place setting for years....use the two types of McDonald glasses you could buy years ago.... My downstairs basement has the cutest Mickey border with yellow walls and red towels. I also have the Glicee DVC print in there. I have back and white OKW note card prints fromaed on my entree way wall. And two Old Key West lighthouses displayed.

Jenny, I have purchased a few(:rolleyes1) Dooney & Bourke bags and I can tell you that they are worth every penny. If only for the conversations it starts wherever I go. DO IT NOW.....:thumbsup2

My DH did his bathroom in a classic Mickey theme. When we were putting our house up for sale, the realtor told us it was "inappropriate". I can understand that not everyone shares our love of the mouse, but I thought "inappropriate" was a bit harsh :rotfl2:

My bathroom use to be the side mickey head classic in just simple black with a blue line. Simple and elegant. I also had the bath towels and a few of my favorite Disney pictures.

However, it got replaced by my now Paris phase.

How about I did not even know that I did decorate in Disney theme?? We bought a house 15 years ago and it was built from scratch. We picked out all of our kitchen fixtures and the color of the cabinets ect. When it was done, my Mom came over and started laughing. She said it looked just like our kitchen at OKW. We picked the same cabinet color and countertop, totally by accident. We have been members since 1993, it did not even occur to us that we did this.

Thanks, I see what I've been doing wrong.

F&WF starts at the end of our next trip...so I'll wait until then to take DH to the gift shop.

We usually don't imbibe, but DH has hinted that he might for F&WF...how many drinks do you think will do the trick?

I don't really don't want him to get sick or have a hangover...just drunk enough for a spending spree.
