I am really considering taking Olivia back to DLP in June half term... on my own!!

It will be too expensive for Andrew to come too, and given that we only got back a week ago he's not that keen on coming again.

But I really want to see Dreams!! and June is considerably cheaper than August or October which are the only other dates we could go.

I've priced up 4 nights at the Sequoia Lodge on 4th June for 4 nights and it's coming up at £528 which to me seems pretty reasonable! Then I'd just need to buy flights on top of that (direct eurostar is already sold out and don't fancy going via Lille) - so that will probably add another £250 so we'd be looking at a total booking of nearly £800....

I'm just not sure whether I'm being completely crazy and should just stick with my original plan of going back next March in the hope that they will still be showing dreams by then!

I think you know what answer you're going to get here :lmao:

I always say - if you can afford it, then go for it :thumbsup2

You know you want to :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

IMO Money's always the issue: if you have them then go for it :goodvibes
As long as you're happy with it let them say you're crazy :jester::jumping1:

I agree with the others. If the money's not an issue then go for it!

We are going then so you can always meet up with us if you're in need of company!! :)

With regards to being mad... Im thinking of booking another trip for this year and we've not even paid for the June one yet!!:rotfl:

Glad you don't all think I've gone completely crazy! :rotfl::rotfl:

My Dad says he isn't overly happy with the idea of me taking Olivia on my own... so he's asked my brother whether he can get the week off work to chaperone! So he's going to check with his boss tomorrow and if all is ok there, we will book! :goodvibes

Craziness is all relative ;) If it's what you want to do then just do it, and to hell with anyone that has something negative to say. There are worse vices!

And if you're worried about being crazy for going alone with a child.. I did it with my two last year. They were 6 and 4. I won't say it was EASY exactly (4yo kept needing a wee right in the middle of mealtimes for example!) but it was doable, and fun, and I'd do it again :)

That's reassuring to read! Thank you :goodvibes

ur not crazy.... well, no more crazy than the rest of us here!!

i took my 2 alone when they were 5 & 3 (3 yr old is autistic) and managed fine.... so im now doing it again in june.... granted they are older (now 8 & 6) but its harder due to youngest, and also probs with oldest....... BUT disney is the best place and has a magical affect which makes everything easier!!

the only thing i get, is a lil crazy from 8 yr old chat all day - and long for adult convo that ill talk the ear off any willing adult that just says hello to me lol

do it do it do it......:goodvibes

Looks like I was too late :sad1::sad1: Checked the website today and there are no rooms left at the Sequoia Lodge for our dates!

can u move dates around?? and have u tried the french site??? xx

tried all combinations of our dates and not getting any results - french site still has rooms but they are much much more expensive (no 40% off).

Could still go to Santa Fe, but will depressing to know that if I had been quicker I could have got Sequoia for only about £50 more!

Oh no!!

Just had a look myself as some friends of ours were thinking of coming too but the Sequoia and Santa Fe are both out for our dates and the Cheyenne is about £400 more than the Sequoia was for them.

Can you go later in the week at all? Still some availability then.

oh thats not on.... so u think ull go for santa fe??

you could always price up the associated hotels and get APs (promoparcs and cemultiavantages, according to our lovely Carrie_Cat :), will likely offer the kids under 7 free pass again in May). You might need Dream passes though, to cover your dates in June.

Haven't been on much the last few days. Just came on to say hope you got sorted and then saw the offer has stopped for those dates :sad2:. Same happened to us in January when we were looking to book. I had been watching a price for days, when I was able to book went on, and it had gone that morning :scared1:.

Will you still book Santa Fe?

I don't think you are mad going twice btw. We are going twice this year too as I've always wanted to see the Christmas decorations/season so going later on too. I'm not sure we will go again next year though, will see what happens, we might miss a year especially if they don't bring anything new out next year and possibly (?) extend Dreams/20th like they did at the 15th. Then again we have APs now .

Have you tried phoning when we booked our match trip hotel new York wasn't showing any dates and when I rang I had no problem getting a room.

Any room for an extra chaperone? X

I think it's worth trying :goodvibes
A long time ago it happened to me, it was before internet (last century lol) and the travel agency was not able to find any room for us when the DLRP call center had a few options.:thumbsup2
