I always buy packages. I am a terrible traveler and I like it all laid out for me. That said, I just cancelled my package at universal (I know, 3 weeks to get my $100 back) and bought everything separately. Does this seem right?

I booked 1 night at RPR for express passes for our 2 park days. We will be going on check in and check out day. I got 2 day tickets from UT. Then we are switching to CB because my DD loves it there, and because price, lol. We will do a resort day, maybe citywalk or something. I had to really campaign for a night at RPR. I booked on the universal site because it was same price everywhere I checked.

Does that make sense?
Is there anyway I can just park at CB or will I have to park at RPR and move my car? If I have to move my car, can I do it in the afternoon after we go to the parks?

We are really only going for hp, we won’t even venture into the simpsons, transformers, comic characters stuff at all. We will get to the parks at open to maximize lower crowds (July! Eek!) and leave for the afternoons.

This is our second real trip to the dark side, and this time we head to Disney after the universal part of our trip.

I think you did fine!
Packages are nice but you can usually do as good or better by buying everything individually. Nice that you have one night at RPR and two days of EP!! You can move your car to CB on check in day- I believe you'll be charged a visitor parking fee until check-in day at CB if you park there. Enjoy your trip!!

I'd park at RPR when you check in. Then when you check out, you can leave your car there until midnight. When you are done with the park on the check out of RPR, move your car to CB. Same there, day you check out, can leave it there until midnight. The hotel charges per night, so you'll pay RPR for 1 night parking, and 1 night or however many you are staying at CB.

You certainly did the right thing. Unlike packages that charge a change fee, and have less day to cancel, a room only has a 5 day free cancel, and no change fee, only pay if there is a change in room rate. And tickets from UT are generally the cheapest way to purchase. And, if you enjoy the parks so much, upgrade them to a pass before you leave the park.

I hope you have a fabulous 2 days in the parks before saying hello to the Mouse.
