Hi All,

I am about to start doing some pre-planning for our next trip. We just returned in March and are saving bigtime for a deluxe now. We will be going December 26th through January 2nd and want to stay at the Poly.

Please tell me *EVERYTHING* you know about this resort...the in's, out's, secrets, etc. I am dying to know all I can! :sunny:

Hi! There's a Poly FAQ thread around here somewhere. And make sure you visit Tikiman's site http://tikiman2001.homestead.com/poly2_55.html
His site is the best source for Poly pictures and tips! I love the Poly. It has the best transportation, imho. You can take the monorail to MK, take a short walk to ttc and monorail to Epcot. The pool is great. Love that zero entry pool! The rooms are spacious. You can watch the fireworks and electrical water pageant from the beach! Did I say I love Poly?! :flower:
Seaspray has some nice pictures too.

Hi Nikki,

I can't tell you anything, but I will be leaving just after you arrive...we'll leave the Poly on the 27th!

Julia

I loved the Poly!!!! Mousekeeping was great for us, the room was so comfortable, my daughter loved the pool and will love the water slide next year when she is old enough to go on it. I am not an expert as I am trying each resort (except All-stars one night was enough for me) but I loved Poly enough to go back next year instead of trying a new resort!!!

Too many times to list as a kid
Once I “grew” up:
1997 Fort Wilderness (summer); Coronado Springs Christmas
1999 Wilderness Lodge (Spring); Fort Wilderness Christmas/New Years
2002 Polynesian
2003 Caribbean Beach
2004 Took a break after having a baby
2005 Going to Port Orleans Riverside
2006 Back to Poly!!!

The monorail is so easy and the walk to ttc is great..ohana's for breakfast is nice as it's family style (they bring the food to you).

We loved our room in Fiji and I hope you have a great time.

I have a ? for the Poly lovers, for those of you who have stayed at the Poly would you go for a Regular Lagoon view or Garden View Concerige. They are pretty close in price just didn't know if I would prefer a lagoon view or Concerige Service.

My wife and I would definately fall into the Polynesian lovers category. We did Garden View Concierge 2 of the last 3 summers and will be headed that way again next summer. While the view of the Lagoon is Amazing - if i had to pick between Lagoon View or Concierge Garden View, concierge wins hands down. Within the hawaii building there is a concierge lounge that looks out on the lagoon - great place to watch the Water Pagent and Fireworks from. Feel free to drop me a private message here if there are specific questions I can answer (my wife and I had the same discussion before our first trip there) and be sure to take a look at Tikiman's site (link is previous posts) as he has done an amazing job of assembling almost all there is to know about the Polynesian. On the plus side you can't go wrong with either choice :earsboy:

We went last July, got a great rate, and I'm still in awe!! My favorite memories are getting "take out" from the Kona Cafe and eating dinner in our room - dd was tired of the dining, and wanted a sandwich, I wanted steak, so we compromised!! I also stopped at the shop near the Kona and bought a bottle of wine (which they uncorked for free)... such a nice memory.

I also appreciated being able to get a feather pillow from the front desk - everyone was jealous, so I had to get 2 more (I didnt want to share!!)

I also loved the walk to TTC from the Poly to get on the Epcot monorail!! and there was no better memory than standing in the pool facing the Castle, listening/watching "Wishes" !! Well, maybe the night I got a Lapu Lapu and sat in the lounge chair on the beach!! :teeth:

The Poly is our favorite hands down. One thing I love is sitting by the quiet pool listening to the Hawaiian music that plays magicly from the bushes near by. Disneyw/kids I have heard you can here wishes under water at the volcano pool and also inside Ohana's.

The Neverland Club is open from 2-4 everry day. It is free but children haver to be supervised. All the arcade games are set for free play and the place was open for anyone who wanted to play. It was great the day that it rained and we could not swim in the afternoon.

I had never read anywhere that they do this and they certianly didn't tell me when I checked in. We went to look at it because I had heard so many awesome reviews of it. That was then the CM that worked there told us. I asked her since when had they started doing that, she laughed and said since always.
