This is our first time at Universal and we will only have one day at IOA.

Where is it? Are there signs? How much? Do we walk or is there a shuttle?

I've never felt so lost! LOL

Edit:
I just checked Google maps and saw two massive parking decks on the east side close to I-4. I now know one thing!

Since you've already seen the two parking decks, I'll skip that part. ;)

Once you park there are sidewalks and moving sidewalks that will lead you into CityWalk and then you'll walk to either of the parks. Parking is $15.00 during the day and you can leave and return if you keep receipt.

There is no shuttle but if you have mobility concerns, there are wheelchairs in the rotunda of the parking structure that can be rented.

It isn't a bad walk, especially with the moving walkways running. It generally takes about 5 minutes to get from car in the garage to Citiwalk and then maybe another 5 minutes from Citiwalk to either IOA or USF (turn left for IOA or right for USF).

More info on your basic question.

Follow signs into parking area, stop at booth, pay money.

Drive from booth, attendants point the way you are to drive into parking garages, go where they point, cones help line the way.

Attendants tell you where to park, you do not pick the garage or level, they do. There are 5 levels of the garages. Each garage has 3 sections, each section is named after a movie character, i.e. Jaws, King Kong, etc. When you park, record your row and section, i.e. row 512 of Jaws (which is on the roof Level 5). Better yet, photograph the signs with your cell phones.

Follow signs to "Attractions" going down escalators, walking or riding moving sidewalks to a hub where the two garages meet into one way into the CityWalk area. The 2 parks are situated at each end of CityWalk.

Go where you want, repeat in reverse when leaving.

Do we need to be concerned about what time the garage opens? I know at Disneyland it makes it difficult to get to the park early because the garage doesn't open early enough.
