Ok, so in deciding in my other thread I see Boma mentioned and it is one we have thought about but with our very picky taste were worried we would not find much at all there that we liked..

So can you guys tell me all about it? The food? Anyone have good pics? I looked at some on the food porn thread but was wondering if anyone could post here? Do they have all strange things? Do the normal things have different flavors? I do not want to waste a TS on a meal if we don't like much of anything off of it. We like steaks, other meats, pastas without any veggies or anything in them. Just general stuff. Not big on veggies being on or in everything or strange sauces or anything. Just normal but really good food with a nice variety. How is it for children..?? We will have a 3 year old and an infant.

Would this be a good place for us or should we skip it? It would be good for our AK day if we went so I want to find out.

Thanks for any info!

Boma is one of my favorite restaurants. It is a buffet at the Animal Kingdom lodge. It serves an excellent evening buffet. I believe it had prime rib, salmon, and more. I know that it had some really great soups. There were 5 different soups on the soup bar and I believe that this is an everyday thing. They also had some great salads. Some of them were what I will call normal and then some were exotic. They do have a good selection for kids, primarily chicken strips and mac and cheese and french fries. (The first time we went our girls were 10 and 12 and I felt like I paid $25 for them to eat chicken strips but they have grown up some since then and participate in the buffet.) And of course everyone's favorite at Boma is the desert table. It is by far the best on in Disney. Lots of fruit deserts, bread pudding, cakes, cookies, nutty items. Everything. Service has been excellent everytime we have went.
