Please....

We were able to get Concierge for our stay next May. I would love to hear all about concierge and if you have pics, please share.

Thanks!

You might want to try doing a search because there are many very helpful threads on this topic, including photos.

Scroll up a bit to the menu bar and click on "Search". In the dropdown menu that appears, click on "Advanced Search". Then do the following:

In the keyword box, enter the word concierge. In the dropdown below that text box, select Search Titles Only.

Over on the right, under "Search in Forum(s)", select "Disney Vacation Club". Below that list box, check the box "Also search in child forums".

Then click the "Search Now" button.

You will then get about 20 PAGES of threads about AKV Concierge!

Thanks a lot:goodvibes. I did that already... but I am looking for up to date info, lol, so that is why I asked. I will do another search to see what I can come up with. Maybe something ne will pop up.

OOh, I am going to do the Sunrise Safari (we plan on eating at Jiko anyway because we love it there, so that is why I opted for the Sunrise).

Okay, so if a restaurant is all booked, I can still get an ADR. I plan on booking 180 days out anyway, but if I cannot get what I want then, I will be able to book through concierge?

I stayed there 2 years ago - the Sunrise Safari was awesome!

My friend booked it and took care of the ADR's, so I'm not sure about that. I've never heard that they are 100% guaranteed.

If the restaurant it totally booked, I don't think they can get it either.

The best reason to do the DVC AKV Concierge villas is for the Sunrise and Sunset safari and to enjoy the services of the lounge. The views are not that great from the sixth floor, but they are okay.

I don't think that is the case. My sister and I stayed at the CR club level and tried to get an ADR at Le Cellier for dinner and even the concierge could not get it for us.

Yeah, I wouldn't think that they could get ADRs if the restaurants are booked.

How are the studios? Are they the same as the regular studios?

Thank you so much, again, for your help. I was able to find some threads that I missed before :)

Did you (they) try at the 180 day mark? If so, I am surprised and would have been disappointed. We've gotten one two years in a row, booked by AKV concierge. This time the time isn't particularly good, 4 PM for dinner, but it's during free dining and I suppose that's what made it hard. Last year we had a 6PM dinner for 4.

No it was well past the 180 mark, we booked the trip at about 4 months prior. They were able to get us a late lunch only.

Oh. Did you take the lunch date? We've done lunch there a few times, once for the early showing of the Candlelight Processional package.

OP, I hope you enjoy your experience as much as we've enjoyed it. Since you've booked so early, be sure to let the concierge know what ADR's you want early on, so you have a better chance of getting them.

We had a fabulous experience there! I contacted the Itinerary Planning office well before the 180 day mark. They answered all my questions and noted all my reservation requests... and then got us every single one! I even wasn't sure about the best time to schedule O'hana to view Wishes (since the park hours/schedule) wasn't yet posted and they totally hooked us up.

The Sunrise Safari was our favorite experience of the trip! A true don't miss! Our room view was a bit disappointing. In fact, we had a huge scaffold right outside our window (which was overlooking the pool from distance). We complained (about the construction) and they moved us to a savannah view studio on the fourth or fifth floor with access to the Concierge Lounge. The Lounge wasn't as convenient, but we had a wonderful view... so kind of the best of both worlds.

Enjoy!!!

We also had access to concierge lounge (we had booked CL) once when we had a room on the sunset savannah on the 5th floor. We hadn't asked to change or anything, but when we got there, that 5th floor room was what we were assigned. I wonder if it was related to construction/scaffolding.

We stayed 8 nights concierge. As far as ADR, I had just as much of a chance to booking, them as concierge. I made most ADR months ahead. The ones I did not make and tried to get threw Concierge a couple months ahead were already booked. I find that making them online is faster doing it my self.
Room view was ok but I felt my son with standard view on 5th floor had a better view.

Lounge was nice, but we did not really use it much since we spent most time in parks and it was emptied by the time we came back to room. Plus the meal plan overwhelmed us. The sight of food was not pretty by the end of 8 days on a meal plan, lol

We love concierge at AK! However, we are not huge eaters and usually don't the the dining plan anymore...so we make the most of the breakfast offerings (my favorite is the chocolate croissant and I usually eat my body weight in them every morning) and we also make VERY good use of the beer and wine, and desserts. Last time we were there we asked the very nice gentleman working if there was any way we could score some zebra domes and he had someone bring some up from Boma. Who knows if that is something they would normally do, but I was sure appreciative of it. Also, he let us know that we could knock on the door during the day and request a beer - he may have regretted that offer. ;) We were his new best friends. I have to say though, they really took care of us. We had a group of 3 couples and the weather was so cold one day we all kind of just ended hanging in the lounge all day and they really took care of us!

Enjoy it, its fun if you make the most of being there!

Oh we took the lunch, I would not pass up the opportunity to eat at LeCellier

My upcoming disney trip is AKV concierge. I will be sure sure to report back.
You can email the concierge a list of the ADRs you want and what time and they will make them for you.

We stayed concierge at AKL in January of this year. It was great! Due to the pool construction they put us in a fifth floor savanna view villa. So great! They said that some people request fifth floor concierge rooms, but that they are only given out if the sixth floor is overbooked or they have problems with one of those rooms. So I will contact them and "volunteer" to be moved to the fifth floor if need be for our future visits. We loved grabbing breakfast, snacks, and desserts in the lounge during the day. I love being in the midst of the lobby hustle and bustle but at a distance. The lounge was perfect for that. I hope you enjoy your stay!

But there are no fifth floor concierge rooms any more. AKL concierge was moved to the fourth floor. AKV concierge is on the sixth floor.
